If a flood infested a hydralisk though then it could probabally attack air.

new flood called ranged pure form can already attack air, and they could attack air if they infested something with a ranged weapon besides, they can take control of battle cruises or whatever they wanted, it would be an interesting fight and difficult fight but the zerg would end up infesting gravemind then be that much stronger

I dont think you could infest the gravemind it is just pure flood parasites similar to the overmind but without any actualy organic system. Also before anyone starts the overmind wasnt infested it was controled by physchics and drugs.

The zerg and the flood have similar goals, maybe they would choose to merge together. This would happen anyway if the Gravemind infested Kerrigan or vice-versa; they would form one central intelligence for both species', creating an army of hybrids. With the zerg strength and flood virulency they would make a single, unstoppable force.

Callex that is far from true....

They would be powerful yes... But a single firing of the halos+Xel'naga temples should do the trick....

    Or protoss/terran/UNSC/Covenent alliance...

What i meant was the protoss/terran wouldn't be able to stop them. The xel'naga - maybe, but we havent seen much of their firepower yet.

But if we add the rest of the halo universe we just gotta send in MC and they're all dead ;D

The Flood because it can infest only sentient creatures yes, but they don't have to be smart, only with sufficient bio mass to sustain their life. So, infested ultralisk? Al those infection forms can just hop onto an ultralisk and the flood just infested an ultralisk. Floodlings anyone?

Well the flood is not dumb, they create Brains (Clumps of flesh) that hack into systems and take info/control but the weak thing is when they infest its like their host is rotten and can be mashed into pieces, but how can they infest the Zerg getting through that think carapace? They would also have to adapt to the new host, but they could not infest a small grunt but they were able to take over standing units like brutes, hunters, elites, etc., so if they took over a zergling another zergling can mash it into pieces in what 3 hits?

the flood never infested hunters the pure form (tank) looks like it is an infested hunter but it isn't they can only infect humans, brutes, and elites.

the flood couldn't infest a zergling because there to small, but they could infest a hydra, the best place for them to do this is under the arms or under the head of the hydra where there is no armor, they maybe rotten on the inside but the carapace of the hydra would still be there, and zerglings wouldn't have an easier time killing them

its not a hunter, its a pure form (tank) it has nothing to with hunters, there are three pure forms tanks, stalkers and ranged the stalker can transform into either of the other two, and afterwards it can change back, but the tank might look like a hunter but it isn't, they are PURE FORMS strictly flood

and yes i have played halo 3 i am a captain rank on xbox live, i have beaten the game atleast three times

If you 'have' played halo 3 you would learn that they are not called hunters, craps or "spike shooting duh". They did not infest ANYTHING they are purely corpses and carcasses packed together from mashed up debris and bones from the overmind.

Well, even so if they could infest anything that bellongs to zerg they would swarm it before it even had time to change into a... What ever it is. Besides who wins? An infested ultralisk or a mutalisk?
Zerg is a clear winner. If they had more dedicated AA units or had beter driving skills they might have had a chance. Wraith+ Slow reaction time of flood= Wall.

O I forgot to say if its not an Infested Hunter then why does it stand like a Hunter and has a defensive position like a Hunter (Sheild infront covering) but it probably fell off. EXPLAIN THAT!

They are in that defensive position so they could protect their weak spot which is the red spore sticking out of its front part of its head.
But remember that Bungie's creations are all inspired by past projects. I'm not going to give you the link for this but you can wiki this up. Tank Forms were inspired by Drinols (ex-convenant monsters that were going to appear in Halo 2) and the Drinols were inspired by Hulks who appeared in Bungie's old game "Marathon".
