Zerg Vs The Flood(Halo Series)

Hmm... this discussion got me thinking. They should choose one race from another game to appear as a zerg infestee ( is that a word?) as a cameo. Now the question is, who do you want the zerg to assimilate into the swarm?

well, the flood has gravemind which is mainly just the overmind of the flood.

 

yeah but zerg have so many more units. what would a rocket launcher to against a ultralisk? nothing lol. zerg all the way.

but i wouldn't put it past the flood and the zerg to join each other. lol they may do it.

 

I dunno, rocket launchers pretty much pwned those Zerg in the BW intro ;D

 

Yeah you guys are really underestimating a rocket launcher, anything that can blow up a tank in one shot has got some serious power and even if it doesn't do anything the flood has other gun to shoot a ultralisk to kill it with, heck if a marine's machine gun can take one down why not a rocket launcher or a plasma rifle?

 

zerg most definatly. the flood look puny and weak. Also they aren't really explained that well, like where they come from and whatnot. they're name is sweet though.

 

Well DontHate I bet if you walked up to a disguting,deformed flood infect human or elite holding a rocket launcher to your head I bet you wouldn't be calling them puny or weak than would you?

 

The zerg would win because,
look at the plasma rifles or shotguns or something. They can kill lots of the small exploding flood things in one shot. But compared to a hydralisk or an ultralisk, they need LOTS of shots to kill one hydralisk or ultralisk.
Now, the flood requires lots of hits just to kill one armored person. A hydralisk just needs 5-6 shots to kill the marine with approximately same or better armor.
So the zerg is better than the flood is both attack and defence. Obviously the zerg would win.

 

Actually, Flood might stand a chance since their infection forms could just touch whatever they wanted and they'd be turned into flood in a matter of minutes. They wouldn't pop when they touched them, that was only because of shields. Zerg don't have shields.

 

It would be a tough fight against the new flood in halo 3 ... They can infest and convert an enemy unit in a matter of seconds, plus they can revive dead teammates. The flood have the gravemind as their central intelligence which takes the thoughts/memories of any flood victims. Also, there are new flood that shoot green spikes at stuff which could possibly deal with flying units. Granted, the zerg are much stronger and have deadlier attacks, but if you put each race in seperate universes and set 'em free the flood would probabally consume everything first.

 

Zergs all the way , the flood wouldnt stand a chance

 

gotta remember, flood need other sentient beings and tech to grow, zerg just need food, they can go space travel can can create wormholes, you dont see any flood with wormholes

 

zerg owns all, feel the wrath of the swarm... muhahaha!!

 

Actually in Halo 3 the Gravemind warps the flood to the Ark aboard High Charity.

 

still they cant infest every thing. that zerg can do

 

I'm pretty sure they did infest everything without shields.

I guess you could kind of call Zerg non-sentient, but seriously, this is a pretty obvious vs anyways.
