Zerg Tarantula Superunit

There is not a tactical reason for Ultralisks to be available earlier on. Zerglings can do the same, if not more damage against both Immortals as well as Siege Tanks, compared to Ultralisks. Ultralisks should be made a much moer specialized tank/siege unit for late game (tier 3) so that it does not have to compromise it's strengths, just so it can be acquired quicker than it previously was. Besides, if it was made into a tier 2 unit, what would the Zerg tier 3 unit be?

 

Uberlisk is tier 3 unit. Ultralisk is tier 2 unit.

Sounds uber ultra lame. You must understand ultralisk must have evolutions to keep up with the technological protoss and rubbishy humans (in the Zerg's eyes.)

Both Guardians and Defilers are all Tier 3 units already, aren't they? Besides, you can't replace a Tier 3 unit with another Tier 3 unit, otherwise what will replace the first Tier 3 unit?

 

guardian is a tier 3 flier, defiler is a tier 3 caster, i would want the zergs to have a tier 3 ground unit as well, it just make sense for the zergs to be organized this way

 

Exactly, that's why the Ultralisk should remain as a tier 3 unit. It meets the expectations of a tier 3 unit, we're all used to it being there and there isn't really any tactical advantage for them to be acquired at the same time as Immortals or Siege Tanks (Zerglings can rip both of them apart). Keep the Ultralisk where it is. It doesn't need to be moved.
