Heh I was JUST going to sleep but I decided to check any news from SC2 ;)

And OMG! Zerg revealed and they look so damn awesome and destructive. I am so thrilled by all this that haven't had this feeling since SC2 was announced and during last Blizzcon reveals!

Zerg was always my favorite faction in SC1 and everything is truely stunning!

Special mention to Ultralisk attack animations...looks very scary and destructive ^_^.

Everything is awesome :). I Hope I see tomorrow High-quality Zerg video with possible Blizzard commentary and it would be perfect!

Wack em over their heads and demand royalty WIck!

Anyways, defending with only one Queen might be hard. What if the attacker attack you t two or three different locations? The teleportation has a 15 sec cooldown.

And I bet that Siege Tanks will rape Queens from far away.

You can only teleport to Hatcheries (&tiered). If you have only a Queen to defend by the time you have expansion(s) then you deserve to lose ;) If you meant attack your main from different directions instead of attacking your expansions at the same time then... tough luck I guess. The Queen will not be strong enough to singlehandedly defend your base(s), you will need support in some form.

IGN stated that the queen has a ability to produce eggs that turn into units. These units hide in the creep and attack when enemy units get close enough to them. So if your opponenet has a queen, they may also have those special units hidden within the creep waiting for you.

That isn't too bad since we havn't actually seen or heard of any static defenses.

That is if it has enough energy. I don't know if deep tunneling will cost energy or not (along with its cooldown) but the Queen seems to be the Zerg MS right now, which means it is quite strong but is most effective with its abilites, and as such will almost always be short on energy.

I was afraid of the zerg rush back in SC1 with enough reason, now I have to change my pants after every damn round.

It wasn't just the creep, it was the entire screen. I think that was some kind of visual effect and I doubt it will be in the game. It would only be distracting at best.

I think the units that spawn from eggs are permanent until either the crepp is gone or they die. Thus, you could make them early game and then start building your regular units while you replenish your queen's energy.

Excellent work. I just need some more information though. Like exactly what the units do, I know someone else did this in the thread but need much more detail! I'm just too excited about everything Zergish! It's all so... Zergalicious! I like that name.

If those huge things coming out of the ground in one of the last pictures were ultralisks then they look so cool with the huge tusks and being able to burrow! i alwayshated how they couldn't burrow because if i could havean army of them hidden under ground at my defenses then i could easily destroy another army!

I would have made ultralisk jump cliffs instead of burrowing.. I can't imagine how big a hole would be after an ultralisks decides to burrow... even if it fills again, you have a smooth plain with grass and a huge round spot with a mess of mud and ground.... I would never get close to that even in real life XD

Anyway jumping cliff would have filled this role.. and since players do not tend to mass out ultralisk, it would be a good addition without making it unbalances (like the idea of having cliff jumping Zerglings I saw in another post)

While it isn't easy to imagine Ultralisk burrowing, I find it freaking impossible for that thing to jump up cliffs o_O

I shall make an easier image to get.

With those 4 gigantic blades he could easily climb it off.

You are right, an ultralisk capable of jumping a cliff.... he could use this skill to jump in a Terran turtle.
imagine the marine seeing this mammoth of blades, spikes and terror jumping on to him.... nice ^^

Well with the muscles inside the Ultralisk, it certainly wouldn't be impossible.
