I do love how people take stuff that is really old but since it's the first time they saw it they think that nobody else saw it and it's something completely new because after all, they hadn't seen it yet. Then they get all excited and then someone crushes their excitement by informing them that it is quite old.

 

I hope that won't be used in the final game, it looks too intricate for Zerg. I want something like a red/purple version of Kerrigan's claw/wing thing or a hydra head, not skull.

 

Well, it was just a concept art made back in 1998, most likely for the first starcraft. They havn't said or shown what they are gonna use for Starcraft 2 yet for the Zerg so it still could be anything at this point.

It's only a assumption since the other 2 symobls with it have been used but still doesn't mean they could change it to fit better and personally I hope they do but if not, eh ok I could live with that symbol.

The terran symbol is not going to be used. It belongs to the defunct confederacy's Alpha squadron, and to its dead leader: General Duke.

If you end up with purple or teal team color for zerg, it is just the fugly gayness. I love rolling red Zerg.

 

Well purple is the color of creep and the most common color for zerg, just as gold and blue are the colors of protoss structures and psi.

Personally i like for teams:
Terran: White, red, teal or blue.
Zerg: Purple, brown or orange.
Protoss: Gold, blue, red.

The green color that was introduced in broodwar plain sucks for all of the teams. White zerg is the worst combination, too.

 

Most Zerg units and structures are brown in color. And I think creep is purplish gray.

I can't believe there are actually people who like having purple or teal as team color, for ANY race.

 

You must have had a really hard time playing the zerg campaigns, man.

 

I like teal for protoss... or terran.

I hope that's not the actual zerg sign. It looks sooo out of place to me, as many have said. It's almost a little cheesy looking since the others are so elegant and simple. I hope they hear us on this one 'n change it. They could even just go ahead 'n take one of Kerrigan's infested wings and turn that into a pretty cool graphic/symbol.

 

Thank you sir! My summer's coming to an end, so I'm wrapping it up by making some pieces that I feel "culminate" my experience for the last few months. I think I've improved a fair amount.

Now for school (that place where all the details and badass weapons don't mean crap to those artsy professors who only want you to model a toilet and call it art). Can't wait, hehe.

i think the 1st two - Terran and Protoss are good (They're in the SC2 official site too)

on the other hand, the last one (ZERG) just looks WAY OUT OF PLACE
