Well the queen isn't exactly cheap to create a ton of them they currently cost 200 minerals and 100 gas.

Until you take into consideration it can act as a mobile hatchery. Sure at the beginning of a game you won't be able to afford many queens, but after you have a few expansions that price won't hurt as much.

Currently I think they units still spawn at zerg Hatchery,Lair,Hive so the unit may be mobile but If this is true then its just a way to increase production but either way they will still be needed and cost 300 minerals anyways.

I think you should get one queen for every hatery/lait/hive you have. That way you could have more than one but not to many

I'm not impressed with how they've done the Queen, I think she should be an egg-layer; a mobile hatchery of sorts.

Simply give her the ability to spawn larva, which hatch into existing Zerg strains. It's so simple, yet very unique and balanced. Protoss can warp units in, Terran have many new harassment and mobility tactics, and this would be perfect for Zerg in that aspect.

...Perhaps give her the ability to climb, so that she can access discrete areas to hatch small task forces of Zerg.

Parasite was also an invaluable ability, it would be nice to see it return.

however the larva would still need creep or they would die, you could have lots of blood, but what would that do? I belive it should have abilities to defend the hive cluster.

I think it would be a good idea to add multiple Queens but must have a hatchery, they could also have it wither away if its assigned hatchery was destroyed.

I would like the parasite abilty too but i don't think it will be put with the Queen, that would be like spying on something you are about to kill becuse it is to stay with the hive cluster, it would go better with the infester or something.

I think the queen should be able to create haturies for a small amount of life so you don't waste drones ,and, like red laaer said, give her the ability to climb.

There's no need for Parasite to return, the Overseer's Spawn Changeling replaced it.

I kind of agree. It'd be fun to use; enemies might not find out about the parasite so quickly.

I voted for the old queen. I'm going to miss having a flying caster zerg unit. With only one queen, I'm not sure if I'll find the egg hatching ability that useful when you can just use a nydus to move your army.

you still need larva to produce your army, and that's what the queen's ability is for.

The extra larva allows you to produce more units early game since your not limited to the hatch's respawn larva time, but instead by how fast the queen's energy regens. That lets you create more zerglings early game, or create the same amount as in SC1 but still have extra larva to create more drones.

Also, due to her slow movement off creep, Razor storm is more of a defensive ability unless you expand the creep using her tumor ability. But I think that works fine since you have the ability to control the swarm for a limited time to follow your opponent.

I agree. I like the queen, but i sytill think you should get one queen for every hatchery, lair, and/or hive. That way, people can't make a large mass, but can still have more than one.

Should the queen be able to evolve wings and be able to fly?

Perhaps 1 queen for every hatchery?

I liked the queen as a unique unit. Made her more of an impressive unit. Now that you can have several its just another unit.

Couldn't they have made her scale with the ammount of hatcheries you control?

That could be cool. Wait are you saying that if u have one hachery then the queen will be a boring size But if you have 20 hacherys she will be huge? And if so how big could she get? Would she become faster the more you have because of her great size? Would she get more att?... Etc.

Cool Idea though. someone should ask blizz.

If her scale depends on the amount of hatcheries, then she'd basicly be an ultra unit. If you look at it, she'd be a cheap unit. What about the protoss mothership? Since people always have atleast one offset base, she'd probably drwaf even the buildings. She'd be a cheap unit because of that. Cheap, but strong? It wouldn't make much sense. The queen would destroy the mothership of the protoss because of her size and probably increased strength. The only bad part if that actually happened would be her speed. If you think about it, her large size and increased weight would slow her down. THe bigger she is, the slower she should get.

    No not neccesarily.
Think if you became giant wouldn't you be fast and stuff because you have more muscle to carry all of that additional weight making her speed acually not increase or decrease.

(ok that was a little confusing)
