Zerg-Protoss Hybrids

Thank you for the link Deadpool, it looks to me like the creature in the cell could be our first glimpse of what the hybrids will look like. To my disappointment, I was starting to think that the hybrids would not be involved in the campaigns, since the word is that Blizzard wants to focus entirely on the 3 original factions, even in the story plot, but this picture (which I’ve seen in the cinematic trailer as well) may be proof that blizzard wants to involve the hybrids somehow in the campaign missions . . . how exciting.

I don't think the creature guarding the cell is a hybrid. If you look at the creature in the cell then compare it to the one guarding it, you can see that they are very different. The one in the cell is much larger, and has more zerg features, where as the guard looks more like a protoss. Why a protoss is guarding a hybrid, maybe it is mind controlled, it just looks much like a protoss to me. Could even be a Xel’Naga for all we know.

what would be so great from hybrids anyway? ok so youve got a psionic hydra with possibly shields... unless it can psi storm or something why couldnt 6 or so lings take it out?

 

Thats not StarCraft 2 though, its a mod to some other game.

Sorry to enter your conversation, just to remind you two, that a few weeks before the anouncement of starcraft 2, blizzard strongly dennied the existence of such proyect, so dont be so foolish as to believe everything they say, it's just marketing my friends, anything could happen, and i sure hope they bring them as playable races

 

they actually gave alot of hints back in 2006

at one of the games conventions last year a blizz rep said something about revisiting starcraft, there were major headlines on most gamesites.

also in 2005, Blizzard representatives started posting various questions in the official StarCraft Discussions forums at Battle.net about "What do you want in a future StarCraft RTS sequel?". not sure how much more hinting people needed lol.
