Well, the stupid thing in some artwork is that you see infested terrans with spacesuits (suits are infested too) but maybe its the difference between a terran that has been infested and a infested terran who was bred from a larvea.

    why not smaller dragoon shells
overlords are big bags of air, they must be able to jsut squash them in.

Yeah, that's probably it. I doubt that the Zerg could operate the Dragoon factory, even though they might have infested a few unlucky Goons that may fight...

Today I played the Protoss campaign in the original starcraft. And I was surprised that I forgot about something important/significant in the campaign!!!

OK we are all too used to the concept that the Dark Templar was a unit brought into the game in Brood War. While I was playing the Protoss campaign in the original, I re-discovered the fact that the Dark Templar was a semi-playable unit. I totally forgot about this because I haven't played the original storyline for ages. I think it is the 7th and the 8th mission in the campaign that you were given a couple of Dark Templars and you can use them just like in BW. But you cannot create any in a gateway.

So base on this, I came up with a hypothesis that the hybrid could be a semi-playable race in SC2. Like there's no hybrid race to play with in custom games. But in the campaigns, we might be able to have a few playable hybrids here and there to play with.

In the Sc2 FAQ on starcraft2.com you can find
" In StarCraft II, players will see the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races. Our goal is to ensure that all the factions in the game play even more distinctly from one another than in the original StarCraft ..."
So if the hybrid will be in-game it will only be support or some special unit type, but I remeber reading somewhere that the hybrid will not make a "comeback" because Blizzard wants to focus only on the primary 3 races

I hope they dont bring in Hybrids. I like the 3 prime races but I sure hgope that they give as a demo of their power or give us more info in them.

If anyone here has played warcraft III: the frozen throne, the hybrids might function very similarly to the naga. They were very basic and had only a few structures. There were, however, still very cool.

Perhaps this is the intent for the race, or maybee we will see some hybrids running around as envinronmental hazards in every level. Who knows!

I think the hybrids could b a zerg unit. Instead of infesting a command center... infest a gateway! lol. I will laugh if this turns out to be true.
