    Canada, eh?
Just because they're chibi doesn't mean they can't tear out your throats.

I like the baby pics, guessing you prefer the manga style over realism.

Sketched Kerrigan looks good. I'd say more, but, enough praise.

Hard truth, I have always hated the style of shading you go with on the pencil sketches. Just looks messy and child like to me. Cross hatching ftw.

    kwa, thanks.
i'll have to try my hand at more things beside the zerg sometime, even tho the protess look hard and the terrans have too many details xD

and yeah, Blood, it's not the best, but i like it. it makes my fingers really dirty though xD

Well, if you like it is more important than some internet aholes opinion.....imo.

Try a tightly rolled piece of paper instead of your fingers if you want them to stay clean. Any art supply store sells the real tool, I forget what the proper name is. But it's really just a tightly rolled piece of paper. Rolled to a point, like a pencil almost.

Your local Walgreen's may sell a pencil kit with one included too. Stationary, aisle 8. Right above the sketch books if the store hasn't reset that aisle yet. *Sigh* Guess whos been working for the same company for too long.

lol, i take all suggestions seriously. that's the only way to get better.
And yah, my friends suggested that, because the oil from fingers can ruin the art and mess it up or permanently smudge up a piece of art and then there is no way to fix it.

But persnally, i like hands on stff. It makes me feel like i'm putting my all into my art and making it all with my hands. Maybe that's just some immature kid thing, but i can't help it, i like the thought of doing it all. I'd probably be better with the paper, but i like the feel and the thought of graphite agaisnt my skin. It's like being part of your own art, if you understand my insanity ^-^

No, I understand what you mean.
Ever try sculpting? I recommend giving it a go in high school while the clay and kiln are still free.

I have tried. My grandpa is a sculptor and he's made a few memorials. He said i have a lot of promise, but i don't really see it. And, I should, but i refuse to take art classes. I want to prove people don;t need instruction and people telling them what to draw in order to get good. and i tried my old style of shading, and experimented a bit (as well as a chibi hydralisk~ )

    origingal way of shading:
what i do is stake a mechanical pencil and lightly or darkly color a piece of the drawing and then rub my finger through it. it's not the best looking, it makes my hand and fingers sore after awhile, and then my hands get covered with hard to get off graphite.

    new way:
simply put, i scribble one way, then th other, but i vary the power on pressing down my pencil. this way is a lot cleaner and i think it has great potential to look better, but right now the older way still feels natural.

    and the chibi:
do i really have to explain? xD

    lmao

Your new way is called cross hatching. That's exactly what I recommended over smudging before.

Most art classes are just a series of exercises. You can do your own thing while following some guidelines....ah I won't change your mind anyways.

    You did xD
I know it's called cross hatching, that's why I tried it. I decided to try it because you suggested it. See, opinions do matter to me =P
