Never be afraid to screw up a drawing. You can always draw more. It's better that way anyways.

Or if you really don't want to mess with the originals; you can make/buy a light box to trace copies of original works.

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...ficial&hs=SqK&q=light+box+for+art&btnG=Search

You could always just print copies from your scans too.

I really liked the drone. I agree the head and claws are the best features. If you put that kind of depth into all your work I think it would be a vast improvement. Shading was mentioned already, but keep in mind how you can define the facial structure with line art as you have done so well with the drone. The other faces look a bit flat; undetailed would be another way of saying it.

Nice poses. The limbs look properly foreshortened and everything. I always have trouble with that myself unless I'm drawing from life.
    Proportions look good too.

Really; don't be afraid to keep working on them. I'm sure you can make them look even better.
Thanks for posting them on here, you would deserve a powerup just for that. I need to work up some courage and get some scans up too.

I like to share this with everyone who likes to draw:

    Ah, thank you.
I found then particuklarly hard to draw, but I'll try some more out later. at the moment I'm very swampred with all sorts of drawing requests, and I have to get to work on the one for my friend's birthday ^-^;; (has been putting it off)

but the reason i haven't really drawn or shaded them is because I'm lazy and a procrastinator :D

i'll try to work on some more zerg later if i can find a good pic of one to make sure i'm doing it at least semi-right xD

the ultra made me rawr simply bcos i found the neck a bit long

but besides that, i thought they were great!

    i especially loved the drone.

however, i would try to improve on the 'depth' of the facials too

    as mentioned before...

great work! the mutalisk wings were my favorite besides the drone :D

I just looked at the ultra again. Was it shaded before or am I going mad?

I like the neck, I would say the lower body seems a bit small though. Sort of BS observations though. I'm sure we all think of every original SC unit with a different interpretation.

Nice shading. One more bit of friendly criticism; exterior lines should match the shaded insides. In other words: Your light source is on the right (again cool choice, looks nice back lit) so the line work on that far edge should be lighter. The line work on the far left edge should be darker.
    I hope that made sense.

EatMe is right. Those wings do look really good. I think it's the claws and tatters that do it for me their.

Ah, it's not a BS observation, blood. I would have made it bigger if the paper was. sadly, i drew it to big so... xD

and yeah, i know. I shade how i want, which means wherever i think a streak of darkness would go, i put it. i don;t have legitimate light sources all the time xD

and yeah, wings are hard for me, so I always try to cover up for that fact by making little details on them

If i can find the pics, (i have a thousand pics all over the place so i might not) i'll shade them fpr you guys and sticl them here

PS: you're not crazy, i drew them all, then shaded the ultra as an experiment. the reg drawing of it is on the page before. xD

    EDIT
