But it should have a ranges attack. Either acid or flames would work well for its attack, as long as it isn't op or anything like that.

I spose. Maybe a continual attack like the Collosus, a constant stream of fire or acid or spines or whatever.

I'm just trying to think a little more outside the box here.

imo CC getting fortress is perfect reason for not giving Hatchery a dragon.
And than there's the 'zerg' thing...

That's just like the command center though...that's like if the planetary fortress could fly.

Once again, I think the creep needs the hatchery to survive anyway. It can't just get up and fly off. It's all connected, all the zerg buildings are connected. A zerg base is like one giant organism, you can't just tear pieces out.

The Zerg Dragon has massive wings covered in Zerg feces, and it shakes the Zerg feces onto enemies it flys over and it poisons (oh my god guys this could be an imbalance!) them! Then if that wasn't it bad enough the Zerg Feces become mini units like Carrier interceptors, except they run around and hiss and reek real bad. Anyone like this idea? It would make sense in the Zerg ecosystem.

I think my point is that the hatchery/lair/hive isn't exactly the appendix of the body...more like the heart.

Furthermore, having your appendix out is a surgical process, your appendix did not tear itself out of it's own accord and turn into a dragon.

seriously thoug, the entire concept of building turning in units is not zerg, the buildings are too strong

I will accept the idea of buildings being able to attack though. That does make sense.

hello guys, I think the Zerg buildings transmogrifying into massive units is cool. They could be all bad ass, slap the newb units around and then go on a rampage into the enemies base, kicking over buildings, and then when the building falls over the Zerg Dragon turns at the building and yells in a Zergy snarl "YO MAMA!".

While I agree that it would be awsome if it yelled "YO MAMA," I think the whole idea of the hive turning into a dragon is ridiculously apish.

You can't even add a power level to someone. You don't have the 40 posts yet. :p

And about the whole dragon thing, that's okay, but the idea of a hive morphing into a dragon is just weird. :-\
Why would a building be able to morph into a unit? It doesn't make any sense. Just add some kind of upgrade for the spire. Instead of having only the option of letting it evolve into a greater spire, you would be able to make a dragon nest or something. That's more logical.
