We have seen the muta, zergling, and nydus worm's graphic enhancments. If that is thier final form, then we know about how the zergs may look.

I am not saying that mutas and zerglings have been graphically improved every time Siege Tanks have been. But, they are pretty much experimenting a lot of things both design and game play-wise when it comes to zerg. The Zerg are being kept secret for a lot of reasons, and design might be one of them.
Also, the second Siege Tank improvement was a quality improvement, My guess is that zerglings/mutas etc look a lot better right now.

good thing they redid the tank, it looks like a child's toy in the original picture. The zerg will improve, but with the new graphics, a dragon zerg unit could be feasible.

Actually, the muta in the picture almost looks like a kind of dragon due to its dragon-like wings.

A dragon that shoots out it's butt instead of it's mouth.

Anyway sorry I got us off topic. I really doubt the lurker will be returning and frankly (braces for flaming) I don't mind too much.

actually, dragons would be the best idea for the zerg capital ship that we've been discussing

You have to basically re-invent the dragon though. It can be dragon-ish but it must be different and zergy enough that people don't feel like they're playing warcraft 4. Like give it four wings instead of two or six legs or a really really ugly head. We just want to avoid Starcraft meets DnD you know?

Has anybody here played Age of Mythology expansion The Titans? Every civilization had a titan and I don't want Starcraft 2 to be similar to it, because I didn't like it. A dragon sounds like a super unit and that's why I don't want dragons for Zerg, unless they're small. That's also one reason why I don't like Thor.

    zergy dragons ^^

I think they should be a flying unit, so they aren't able to burrow into the ground. Possibly a costly mutation of the mutalisk, and has a range of the guardian with ATA and ATG attack, but less powerful than the guardian's or devourer's attack.

i think it should be a unit where you combine a devourer and a gaurdian into one unit and it has the attacks of both of them with some abilities

^ I like that idea. I think there should be some kind of cost, like you need to unlock the abilities it can use.

Maybe something that looks more like a dragonfly or pterodactyl.

Isn't a gaurdian and devourer combined just an uber-mutalisk? I don't like that idea. The thing that balances the Gaurdian is it's vulnerability to air.

I vote for an air-to-air melee unit. Maybe the mutalisk's tail evolves into a drill that injects the corrosive liquid instead of shooting it or something...

This thread is going downhill fast.

The dragonny unit could have an acid spray effect...like a flying firebat. That's new and unique isn't it? Maybe too much like a real dragon...
