The fourth pic doesn't feel very Zerg-like at all to me. But I really wish the second pic is legit. It's so badass, beats the pants off of any silly grasshopper with little wings.

Not mad at Reaker or anyone else, well, maybe except the guy who posted the vid. And not saying this is definitely real or fake, but it does feel more fake than real.

While i would have no idea whether these are real or fake they look more like they come out of some fantasy game like warcraft instead of beng concept art for the zerg. What makes me think this is the first 2 look like the wyverns from WoW and the second 2 look really dragonesque.

Yeah. It's actually quite simple. And if he felt it was pressing in any way/shape/form he would have gotten them off the phone.

There are a number of reasons why this is fake. I will outline them. Feel free to question them and I will provide more answers, but I'd rather not go linking all over town to show you why something is fake when it should be being PROVEN that's it isn't fake.

1. The guy made up a story. 5 months to get pictures off of a camera phone? I... no.... tink... so.....

2. The post was made in October. We also saw nothing different than what Blizzard has posted as artwork, wallpapers, etc. that were done well and in color. He most likely printed them out and posted them on a wall, then took pictures. If this post had been made in April or May then it would have more credability.

3. The guy says he works for a company that is employed by Blizzard. If this were so, he would lose his job whether the info has already been released or not. It's called stealing. There's no way he would post this now when there's no reason to if he in fact works or worked for Blizzard or a contractor for Blizzard.

4. The renderings look hand-drawn and not by a professional artist. A good artist, nevertheless, but not a professional one. Most "concepts" that would have been posted would have been views from different angles of a unit and its features. Not just a hand-drawn pencil sketch of what looks like fanciful doodles.

5. The only undeniably credible part of his story are the pictures from the Blizzard lobby. And that can be accessed by anyone. Everything else is 99.9% fake.

6. This has been discussed other places and I haven't found anything that corroborates the story (youtube, google, etc.) in any way. No one is claiming this is true or backing the story up.

7. Feasibility. There is no freaking way that Blizzard would anyone not directly employed by Blizzard to be anywhere near concept drawings of a game that hasn't been released LET ALONE HASN'T BEEN ANNOUNCED!!!! They would hide it, and hide it good. Blizzard isn't that dumb. That's why we get relatively few leaks.

Therefore, considering this evidence, while it is circumstantial (you can't really get rock hard evidence on the internet), this is a hoax. It's fake.

 

Nice find, but it seems pretty darn likely that it is fake: Joneagle_X makes some good points.

Another good one is the fact that there are ONLY Zerg unit drawings, why not show some protoss or terran images, there are still units & buildings that we have not seen yet.

Were there images of all 3 races, released and unreleased, I would drown in a pool of my own ecstasy
when Joneagle_X mentioned them yanking our Zerg chains, I thought, 'how convenient for there to be only zerg units.

Most of what Jon says make good sense to me.  And it really should be about proving something true, not proving something false.  Everything SC2 related should be considered false until proven otherwise, not the other way around.

Despite what the final outcome maybe, good job on presenting the logic behind your argument in a well stated manner Jon.  1UP.

There you have it everyone.

I was all over you because I asked you why you think it was 100% fake, and you kept saying because, "WELL IT IS, the drawings looks fake, bla bla bla." So I was like, uhh, that isn't enough of a evidence to claim it's 100% fake. It was until later on, you explained everything which makes better sense.

Because you see, I'm more of a neutral guy. When i saw the pic, I get skeptical too. Of course, I get some excitement (the forum needs some excitement lately with the lack of new info from Blizzard :-\). So when I saw this, I was like hmm 50/50. Looks more fake to me than real that's for sure, BUT I NEED SOME solid facts or evidence to see whether it's true/false LOL.
