Its like adding locust swarm (War 3 ability on the crypt lord) to a hive.

I always liked that skill =P

Yes. To a unit in a new alien race. But it's a good idea.

i dont reckon protoss should have anything haha, i like it how some mechanics apply to some races but not all, they can already move their cannons around in pylon power thats pretty special i reckon

You're right. And they have rechargeable shield.
    That's enough for them.

Protoss have moving cannons. Aren't those good enough when needing to pull in your defenses?

i agree, phase cannons hit both ground and air, and now they can move. this makes them adequate makes them defense for protoss, although i would like to see an aerial version of the phase cannon which cannot move.

i proposed something like this way in the beggining for the protoss: every productive building should get a interceptor

(the tempest was still in game then)

this is a good idea, and to add on... maybe they can make special interceptors vs. ground units and vs. air units so depending on your base layout etc. you can choose which one you want :D

How about supply depots for Terran can deploy militia when the enemy attacks. These militia are limited to the range of the supply depot and when they get killed they have be spawned to come back.
These guys spawn at 1 per minute. Quite long considering they are free. But then again, supply depots are not defensive structures.

I don't really like that idea, but it is creative. maybe they could have a really weak automatic gun attached if you wanted to add defences to them.

But as i see it being able to burrow your supply depots is defence enough.

Imagine a zerg rush... half the zergs get over your depots then BAM you lift em up and the zergs a split in 2 making them easier to handle. if you haven't kill the first lot by the time the second destroys your depots, well you were probably screwed anyway.

Undead ripped off zerg, they're allowed to rip back. Besides, zerg is MUCH more fitting to have death spawns because it's something they'd do, they spawn fast, very very fast.

Another variation could be if said zerg unit dies it could release a spell that does... well something. Maybe ensnare, or acid that does damage over time.

If you think about it wouldn't almost all zerg ne full of some form of parasite? maybe a particular unit with feath spawns could be like a zergling brood mother or something. Kind of like a queen zergling i dunno. but when it dies it could have a morph egg appear which takes about 15-20 seconds to hatch, and boom 2 new zergling in it's place

does the queen zergling ever die then, or is there a limit on how many times it can respawn?

Loading 2 Hydras onto each Hive would be better IMO. (Upgrade at Hive)
