A Zerg Reaver...hmm. Well if they aren't going to finally put the real Reaver back in I would be willing to settle for a Zerg version. It sounds interesting.

And how would this work? Also don't say it shoots balls of gas which have AoE damage cuz then it would be Banelings.

i like the idea, lets say a large yet a little slow unit like a queen ant like thinngy, and it shoots out massive fireballs

note, siege units are ones with long range and splash damage (seige tank, duh)

I repeat, we already have a siege unit. It flies. We don't need another one.
Unless the Gaurdian doesn't come back...

Yea really, the Guardian was a more than effective aerial siege unit, especially back during SC vanilla.

Tactical strikes? Wouldn't that be fit for a faster and micromanageable unit?
What do you mena by great support? Like a spellcaster? or to attack?
Eh I tihnk base defense was pretty good in SC. Sunkens had good range and did pretty good damage. only thing was you needed to have units along with your static defenses.

I think Zerg did pretty well without a siege unit until tier 3, and even then it wasn't THAT great. Anti-air pwned it pretty well, along with irridate and storm. EVen without it a Zerg Player could plague buildings and come in with mass muta/hydra pretty well. I tihnk a better role would be an anti-siege, because DS with lings was pretty hard, seeing SIege Tanks could still hit the lings/hydras/ultras. Reavers could esplode them in seconds. And now, I don't think collosus will take notice of DW may it come back.

Siege units don't fit in with the Zerg imo. Siege would make things way too clean, where I believe the intended idea was that you'd have to take some casualities to get your goals accomplished with Zerg. I think the Baneling is perfect for this. You're going to lose a few of them on the way to thier target probably, and the few who get there die anyway for the greater good. I think that's Zerg'ish enough for me, and the perfect perfect defense-breaker i'll deffinately be utilizing!

Zerg isn't really a siege kind of species. they're more of a swarm type species. if you want to deal a lot of damage to buildings then swarm in with a bunch of zerglings and evolve them into banelings.

Don't the Protoss have a siege unit that's a slug and shoots balls of gas/energy? Because I thought my bro always used them against me with a rain of Zealots and Dragoons...

Yeah, Revers mass kill all Zerg Units and buildings. But they Swarm. They don't bombard and try and kill as many as possible before their enemy has time to send an attack force back. They just wait in ambush for a good chunk, if not all, of the enemies forces to walk into a trap. Then they spring it, kill them, then go on to their base with little, if no resistance.

    - My life for the Swarm!
