    Thor is now an AA unit? It would be a waist of resources to build one then.

    The Mothership has now been weakened to the point where it too is a waist of resources?


    Okay my gripes about it so far.

    It's not out yet.

    No extra race such as the Xel-Naga. Future expansion perhaps?
     
  2. An extra race would do more harm than it would be beneficial if you are talking about multiplayer.

    i'd say that dark pylon idea. its just so bland and has the worst name imaginable. how does a DARK pylon make probes gather faster? it makes absolutely no sense.

    personally i think this is enough of a confirmation that the Dark Pylon and Giant SCV could very possible be true.
     
  8. Hahahahaha! I skimmed through that part and somehow missed it because it says nothing about "Dark Pylon" or "Big SCV'. Usually there's nothing important there... not that Q&A batches are informative anymore :)

    .... I just realized that this means this is actually in the game. Oh well, if it doesn't work out it will be changed and if Blizzard leaves it in then I'm sure it works better than it seems in theorycrafting.

    Oh yeah, plenty will do that. These mechanics are there to give you benefits for using them, but doesn't cause any problems if you don't use them.

    They're not so dumb when they give you an advantage.

    It's not about whether they give you an advantage it's about whether the mechanic should be ingame.

    That's what mods are for i guess, fixing blizzards mistakes -_-

    well many ways of making this game suck are well...

    Including the Xel-Naga in the skirmish WITH SUPER UBER UNITS (they're worker is as strong as a ghost in starcraft)

    Making the Battlecruiser EVEN BIGGGER!!!!!!!

    Letting the Zerg have high-tech

    letting the zerg mass produce units 100 times more...

    marines die faster

    terrans take LONG to build

    Protoss take SUPER FAST TIME to build

    Zerg turn protoss into zertoss lol.




    ok that would be allot of ways...

    I think they just took the starcraft we all know and love and turned into warcraft featuring the zerg terran and protoss... Alot of it resembles Wc3, how units die faster, hero units, and the like, all from Wc3, Although massing 200 marines would look awsome, i think alot of SC2 is just Wc3
     
  15. Unit dying faster resembles WarCraft III? You obviously didn't play the game. Also, everything else you mentioned was experimental and has now been removed.

    Also, to the rest of you people, when did you suddenly forgot how Blizzard makes games?

    I second that.

    However i agree that its role was somewhat wasted. However from an art point of view the new models AA guns look, like treadmills.

    having ultras and defilers wasn't considered high tech in sc1?

    If you mean tech as in technology, they still have a lot of the same stuff, just that many units became more specialized to play a specific role:
    -Hydras were the zerg's main anti-air, so they lost some GtG and gained more GtA.

    -Zergings had trouble countering units like zealots, so they gained a new strand that let them deal massive damage by exploding

    -Roach: with the hydras gaining more anti-air, the zerg needed another unit that had a better ranged anti-ground without sacrificing thier anti-air hydras to make lurkers

    -Ultra: gaining the ability to hit multiple units at once, as well as use its large claws to burrow in the ground

    -Queen: changing from air to ground. Gaining a good damaging ability, Razor Storm, that rivals the protoss's Psi Storm.

    i still have yet to see what anti air structure the zerg has, and like i stated befor i dont like the spine cwarler or what ever looks like an ingrown hair sticking out of a ground. and i agree with someones else's complaint that they should rename the stalker something cooler or more protoss like. stalker sounds more like a dark templar that is cloaked stalking his prey.
