G-Mail is also still in beta... Lol, I can name tons of well-know beta software that work better then full versions in store. But you all get the point without me naming those, right?

    Hmmm...
    Just read this.

"But if you go 64-bit, you can add up to 8 GB in Home Basic and Starter, 16 GB in Home Premium, and 192 GB in Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate."

    Holy WTF, 192gb of RAM?

    So.

    For thrillz.

I'm installing it on my netbook.

Acer Aspire One. 1g of RAM, 160 HD. Single core 1.6 Intel Atom processor. From what I've read, it should run without Aero on

Ok, update from said netbook (I apologize for the double post, but it's a new one). Works like an absolute charm. The only tricky bit is actually installing it, but I ended up mounting the .iso in Daemon Tools and doing a fresh install (wiping my XP). It's awesome, it uses less resources than my XP did, even running the Aero theme.

Installed it on my newly bought PC and so far I'm liking what I see. I'll have to play around with settings a bit more to see if some things that irk me can be changed, but those are minor. It's running fast and stable, that's what's most important for me.

I would go for it, but on a separate PC, If you have a separate one that is.

I have the beta ATM. It's pretty good, I need to get around to installing the release candidate though.

Is it better than Vista? E.g. game performance and such.

I feel kind of pissed, I bought Vista Home with new PC since all new games are supposed to come out for it and MS no longer support XP in near time. Well then those bastards come up with brand new system to replace Vista just a year after

Well I didn't really have a problem with Vista, but I would say that 7 is better, and will definatley be worth buying when it comes out.

Would it be good idea to get the release candidate on a new PC instead of buying a system for it? :p

I hated XP, I hated Vista.

I love my windows 7. Im a little sad that when it comes out in July 2010 im gonna have to do another fresh install... but oh well.

If your installing windows 7 make sure you do a clean install. DON'T TRY TO UPGRADE IT FROM VISTA. You will only create problems

    Win7 > XP.

Trust me I'm running it now, faster startup and shutdown, everything starts faster, I get more FPS in games, higher security, faster speeds when extracting and moving big files from one harddrive to another.

Download the latest RC and try it out.
Also, DO NOT UPGRADE FROM VISTA. Do a clean install.
