Will Zeratul die?

"Heroes never die". Did you already hear this phrase ?

OMG ! Tassadar died, and he was a hero ! Noooo !! Zeratul will die !

 

He will die eventually, just maybe not in the game.

 

Indeed. Protoss are longevous, not immortal. Although, if he's murdered, he might reappear as a Stalker; pretty much a lá Fenix.

depending one how he dies will tell u how i fell. If he dies like Tassadar i will be happy. If he dies like Fenix i will be so freaking pissed. To say a hero gets thrown away like that is annoying and truly sad. He deserves the right to die with all the hornor he can soak in just like Tassadar did. If he dies like that i would be sad but not pissed and sad. but there is a twist to this if he dies like Fenix did he will come back as a stalker. if he dies like Tassadar theres no coming back from depaticalization.

 

yeah and the dark templar in sc3 would say en taro zeratul, or zeratul toridas

 

Heroes die in Starcraft. The good is always defeated. And the bad is always victorious. Why such an "immorality" ? Is it because our world shows that reality that Blizzard follows this notification ?

En Taro Zeratul ! En Taro Fenix !! En Taro Tassadar !!! En Taro Adun !!!!

 

I wonder if they will say En Taro Fenix...

 

OH! I have an idea, Maybe he won't die! Perhaps he'll fuse with a high templer (maybe tassadar's spirit or something, if not then another new high templar hero) and become a super Twilight Archon!

I would prefer Zeratul to live... ya know... kinda pivotal character to the SC universe in all.... ring a bell? Plus, Zeratul is a Dark Templar of the old way. He knows many secrets we have yet to discover I feel.

 

I'm saying no because 1) He's the last of the original Protoss heroes...meaning that he's the last link to the original storyline for the Protoss, 2) He's one of the three core characters along with Jim and Kerrigan, you can't kill a core character unless its absolutely necessary to the story, and 3) Zeratul seems like the one dude who'd live out these long wars and the one who'd pass along the stories of Kerrigan, the return of the Dark Templar, and the retaking of Aiur....he kinda fits the wise one persona.

Some may say that Tassadar was a core character and that they killed him off still, yet Tassadar is more of the powerful sage/mentor figure that eventually had to leave in order for the true story to unfold, yet still holds a way to help the good guys, kind of like the Gandalf or the Dumbledore of the story so to speak.

 

He won't die. At the blizzcon lore panel, someone asked this exact question and they said that they will need to keep Zeratul around for a while. Besides, he's the main protoss character.

 

Yeah, Artanis is kinda lame, and all the other Protoss heroes are dead. Keeping Zeratul, Jimmy and Kerrigan alive, atleast until the expansion, is crucial.

 

I hope not. I always thought Zeratul was one of the coolest characters in the game, but Raynor's up there, too. i don't know though, it seems like he might die. Just a feeling. I'd love to see him stick around, but it's hard to say if he'll make it through or not.

 

he better not, if he does then, who ever thought of the idea on the development team, will also die a painful, horrible death...lol

I hope Artanis dies more than anything. He's a noob.
