As for BElf and Human mages. Fire/Ice specced mage much? You say Blizz could get creative, but can you think of enough New spells that would be just different name/animation for same thing? They already have plenty of ways to burn something.

Some other ideas would require another workload to make them different enough from already existing classess.


How about Orcish Wolf Raider and Knight for humans? Actually some mounted combatants and they'd have a cheap way to balance them like in WC2 (same thing with different graphics and an odd unique spell here and there)

 

I had Far Seer down, but I don't think it'd be cool to have a bunch of Thrall wannabes running around.

But I put down Blood Mage, Demon Hunter, and Chieftain soooooo...

But since there are so many Hero classes I'd imagine it would be a pain to unlock them. A quest chain that requires maybe a raid or two, lots of reputation, a quest chain, and a level requirement...

And Rogues don't have Mirror Image or Wind Walk do they?

Of course the classes would get a whole truckload and a half of abilities but... there'd be a difference between Rogues and Blademasters.

Those are hard to make. I made a custom version of divide and conquer where you play the legion. -instead of undead, I hate making triggers.- Three cusom hero units there. -No rofl on the names please, I they suck- Legion Master, -Archimonde model- Burning Lord -infernal model- and the Demon Titan -transformed demon hunter model, took me 2 hours to make it work- They all have two pages of lore in a word doc somewhere, along with the -10 levels...- spells I made for them... Nobody ever read it.

To add to the topic: blademasters are the ones with wind walk indeed. But it is basically just a cloack spell.

Rogue, is permanent cloak, but slow, you ambush people who are close
Blademaster, temporary cloak, but fast, you could use 2/3 blademasterst to launch an unseen raid on the flags in WSG

 

You are right, but I only said it was a cloack spell. Nothing about the stats of it. Windwalk as an ability in wow sounds overpowered to me. -could be in already, correct me then- Blade masters have a pretty strong attack, especially when they have some buff spell on them. Combine that with a cloack: horribly strong in pvp.

Deathwing, or Neltharion is father of Onyxia and Nefarian and one of the Aspects (also known as the Earth Warder). Thanks to the Old Gods he went nuts and wanted to wipe out all races except his dragons. All in all he's one of the biggest villains in Warcraft universe

I suggest reading Day of the Dragon and War of the Ancients trilogy if you have time. They have plenty of Deathwing.

red flight defended life
blue flight were in charge of arcane forces
green flight were in charge of nature forces
black dragonflight were in charge of the underground stuff
when the demons first attacked 10.000 years ago, the black dragonflight went crazy and nearly exterminated the blue one. their leader renamed himself Deathwing

in WoW:
In WoW there are a number of important black dragonflight encounters, there is one in dustwallow marsh, where onyxia, one of Deathwings daughters resides. and on the top of Blackrock spire, Nefarian resides, sending his troops to battle the fire lord, Ragnaros. Nefarian also experiments with new more powerfull forms of dragons, creating a new flight which is far more powerfull against magic. it first appeared that Nefarian was acting alone,, but in the obsidian chamber in the temple in dragonblight there was a dragon, working directly for Deathwing, who also had dragons of this flight.

Deathwing himself hasnt appeared since the first war though, as he is hiding in Grim Batol

From WotA trilogy it was clear enough that it was Old Gods doing. They made him create the Demon Soul. Which was sort of a crazy LotR rip off.

It's a source of awesome power. Dragons, Legion, whatever it is, you can kill tons of it with Demonsoul.
Everyone who has it starts becoming obsessed with it and the longer they have it, the more willpower it takes to put it away.
The way Deathwing treats it is very much alike Gollum and the One Ring. Only Deathwing isn't Gollum. He's a crazied Aspect and he means to use it.
