Why is Diamond league neccesary?

sc2 rating system is poorly though out for us competitive players

 

I think the system is gotten fairly good. I know you can get placed in the wayyyy wrong position and it happens often, but if these guys play at all they will quickly be sorted out.

I've been impressed with the smoothness of the system so far, and the skill level of my opponents (Diamond) has been up to par. For random team (also Diamond) I've noticed a few more.... average.. players in the bracket.... Yet for solo I have had good luck. My 2 cents.

 

Lol, I am sooo close to diamond! I want that badge!!
