Who will be our beta-tester ?

I don't know any good video recorders that'll let me record for more than like... 30 seconds, but I will provide mass screenshots and simple information about units, abilities, buildings, and such.

 

I like this idea. We should hold a broodwar tournament for our Beta-testers and who ever wins will get the responsibility of recording and uploading videos of his games. With the support of our members who have the know how for recording such gameplay videos and uploading them this idea could help give us non beta-testers the ability to see what this game has to offer.

 

I don't really see the point of this thread... I mean, the community and the mods here have always been great at getting information out, whenever it comes up, so that everyone can enjoy the little tidbits of info that are released. If anyone gets a key, I'm sure they will be kind enough to share the information with all of us.

I just think maybe our forums best broodwar player would be interesting to watch and get details about the game from. Its just more intense action in the replays.

 

Whoever can contribute in giving videos and comments from his tests it would be better to have a person with some experiences in making videos anyway. Thank you to all who want to help !

 

Maybe set up a tournament where the winner gets some kind of support from the forum to get recording set up.

 

If I won a beta key (which I probably won't) I don't have a sufficient way to provide any kind of screen shots or videos but I can give info....Only if I could find my video camera.

IDK....and I don't feel like getting out of bed to look....but I doubt it.

 

Most people here want a beta key. And of these there seem to be two groups of people.

1. Some who really want to share info with the SC2forum community and willing to answer any questions they get.
2. And others who say "it's my key if I get it and screw anyone who tells my what to do with my SC2 beta game playing time."

You all know if you fall into category 1 or 2.

Personally I don't want a SC2 beta key. But I will be asking a lot of questions. And someone mentioned recording a Cpu vs Cpu multiplayer game just to see what the AI is like and share with us is a very good idea. I 2nd it. Because if we can see any things the AI always does or any gaping holes we can modify our gameplay against it. Cause it's this AI that eventually we will be up against in the single player campaigns.

 

If I had a SC2 beta key, I would probably spend most of my non-gaming time in making videos and other things for the community.

Ok, enough. Everyone would share information, no need to post about it hoping for a better chance at a key if Jon happens to read it. Damn. This persistent sucking up makes me sick.

 

I've already told Jon that I didn't want a beta key so you just failed horrendously. You make me sick.

Also, saying everyone would share information to the extent I would is just plain false. I spend hours just getting old videos for a torrent. Imagine what I would do with beta time. I'm just making conversation. Again, I've already said I didn't want a damn beta key.

OT: Remember when you told me I was hostile out of nowhere? See what I mean now when I said you do it more?

 

Tychus, he didn't compare everyone to you, he just said everyone would. To everyone else, at the very least Jon will have a beta key because he was at Blizzcon and he has always rovided loads of information in the past, there is no reason why that should change. Besides once beta starts there will be such a huge influx of information from every fan site it really won't matter whether or not some people of the will or ability to share information as well.
