I loved Fenix, he always seemed to me to be one of most badass characters. I also like Zeratul, but who doesn't?

From the Protoss campaing, I choose Artanis, although we never actually played with him much. He, more than Zeratul, is the prince of the once undisputed and most powerfull race in the galaxy, and has had to observe his beloved Aiur fall to a parasitic sentience. He is the commander and represents the hopes of the Protoss in the coming future. Second one would be Fenix for charisma. I loved how he comicaly reprehended Kerrigan. "I remenber Tassadar teaching u a very similar lesson on Char."

I imagine Jim one day killing Kerrigan for butchering Fenix, but in a very romantic manner, considering he considers himself guilty for letting her become what she is.

    Christmas Bump

    Tassadar

Simply because of his personality and wisdom, as well as his meshed templar abilities.

I love how Kerrigan learnt from Tassadar, shows how lost the Protoss are without him.

I think there is a very obvious trend in Blizzard games. The Hero that appears to "Step it Up" will always win.

Hint Kerrigan going all the way, Tassadar going all the way. Terran is missing a Hero like that, and Zeratul just isn't fit for the role as a Protoss. As for Artanis, he just isn't as wise as Tassadar.

It really is interesting that even though Kerrigan is a very smart character, she was still outsmarted by Tassadar. That leads me to believe that Kerrigan only became stronger and smarter because she was able to learn from Tassadar, who she never beat.

The Kerrigan vs Zeratul will be very interesting and ironic coming SC2. You can already sense that Kerrigan will be screwing with Zeratul by using Tassadar's thinking.

I miss Tassadar, christmas wish that Blizzard somehow brings him back in SC2, either mentioned a lot, or as a spirit guidance :)

I think there's a chance he'll be brought up somehow in Starcraft 2.

Conversation or talk-wise, not from the dead.

    But you never know.

Actually, it's interesting to know that Tassadar was specifically given the title "Twilight Messiah" and from an interview itself. "Twilight" is a SC2 term, not SC. So I sense Blizzard is planning to do something with Tassadar.

Well I'd assume Twilight Messiah was bestowed before SC2, because he died back in Starcraft 1.

And in the novel Queen of Blades (is it canon because it's a novelization of a period of time in Starcraft's campaign?) he does do the Shadow Walk which is what Dark Templar's do to prove themselves, yet he still had his control with the Khala.

For the Protoss history it said when the warriors suffered enough damage they would warp back to a home colony either to transplanted into a Dragoon ( Immortal) exoskeleton. So maybe Tassadar becomes a Immortal?

    Most unlikely.

He basically gathered all his energy and somehow "interacted" with the Garithor (or however you spell it), making a giant orb of Dark Templar and High Templar psionic energies.

However, the concept of having a High Templar learn the ways of a Dark Templar without sacraficing himself whatsoever into an Archon is still very unexplored by Blizzard. Tassadar was hardly any different than a High Templar in SC, with the exception of a normal attack.

Hopefully, we can see more templar following the path of Tassadar, or even Tassadar himself. I would love to be able to play as a unit that can summon both energies.

There is also evidence to why Blizzard might make such a unit possible, or why Blizzard might make a single Hero (possibly Tassadar) with the ability to use both templar energies signifcantly. Remember the Twilight Archons? Well, apparently they were scratched and reverted back to simple Archons. The way of producing the Archon is still the same, with either Templars, but Blizzard scratched the idea of the Archon having both energies.

So IMO, Blizzard will make a unit of some sort that can control both energies. I also believe it will most likely be a Hero since it has been emphasized in the lore how hard it is to master both energies. I doubt they will randomly bring in a new hero that could do that, but I also doubt they'll not use the idea of a protoss with both energies at all. So as of now I strongly believe Tassadar will make an appearance of some sort.

Lol, I've actually thought of that, but then Tassadar has both psionic energies whiles Zeratul only has one, so that kind of kills the whole point of mixing pure High Templar and pure Dark Templar.

That being said, I think he might come out as a guidance to the Protoss, as maybe a "ghostly being", kept alive only by the high levels of High Templar and Dark Templar psionic energies. Also, remember the Overmind's escape rift? Tassadar and the overmind were drawn into the rift after the collison, who knows what that might mean

Wouldn't be surprised if he talked to people through the Khala, Obi-wan ghost style.

The dimension thing could work aslong as he stays trapped in the dimension, just able to communicate somehow, him surviving like it didn't happen just makes his sacrifice seem null.
