the xel'naga just wanted to create the perfect race, when they realized they had pushed the protoss evolution to far (when they started to fight each other) they left them and created the zerg (still trying to create the perfect race)

they observed the zergs evolution and when their creation the overmind turned against them and killed them the overmind searched their databases and got information about the protoss, then he wanted to find and assimilate them to create a perfect swarm


Apparently the xel'naga now want to mix the protoss (purity of form) with the zerg (purity of essence) to create the perfect race now

 

i can't imagine a human working for the xel'naga, maybe duran is not a human

but he isn't human now is he? humans can't communicate with zerg... let alone stand among them and live.

 

What is 'evil'? There is no good or evil in SC is there? If you love zerg, protoss and terran are evil. If you're pro raynor than most zerg and some protoss are evil. If you're pro old confederacy then everyone is evil. If you're in love with Khalai protoss, then some terran and zerg are evil. That and maybe the DT sect still. There really is no evil, Xel'Naga are probably just seeking knowledge and made races to fight for them so they do not have to. I doubt Xel'Naga are evil.

 

Sure, but if you're Pro-Satan, then God is evil. And it's pretty much in the dictionary that Satan is the evil one and God is the good one.

If you want to get into a whole philosophical discussion, then sure, there's really no such thing as good or evil. But by our societies standards, Kerrigan = Evil, Tassadar = Good, etc

There are no two sides of Xel'Naga. They are Xel'Naga, and they were the creators, the gods of the Protoss first, and of the Zerg secondly. They were peaceful !

We don't mention that they are evil, but we can't say they were evil. According to the Protoss tradition the Xel'Naga were generous and pacific beings.

@Trooper34 if your pick on the pacifist race/country all the other race/country will take pity on the pacifist group, therefore you are not against a pacifist but a hole race/country or two thats being supplyed be the pacifists. the only pacifist country in this world that i can think of right now that didn't get much help was India against Great Britain. poor Gandi ( i believe thats how you spell his name ) getting murdered in the end when he was doing great good in the world.

you know comparing real world situations is kind of pointless.....considering you have...zerg,protoss,and terran with totally different methods of dealing with things.
But if the xel naga are pacifist... why would they create a race caplable of great destruction....

 

They did not make the zerg with the purpose of destroying. They wanted to create the perfect being and the killing part just happened by itself

 

ok first i was hearing zerg was not created by protoss now i am being told they were.... SO MANY LIES.... lol anyway the killing part didn't happen by itself the xel naga had to do it...... the instinct of killing doens't happen byitself.... something has to trigger it....

 

I think the general course of the thread may be confusing you a bit. Nobody is credibly arguing that the Protoss created the Zerg. We know for a fact (read: Blizzard told us) that the Xel Naga created first the Protoss, then the Zerg.

Also, an instinct by definition is something that happens on it's own. E.G. nothing has to trigger it. Something like eating when you're hungry is an instinct. The Xel Naga didn't have to implement the instinct to eat (or however the Protoss and Zerg consume nutrients), and they would just the same not have to implement the instinct to kill something that is trying to kill you.

The Xel Naga were pacifists, sure. But Dr. Frankenstein wasn't trying to hurt anyone, either, and he created a monster that terrorized an entire town.
