The greater whole were wiped out. That's not all.

It also wouldn't explain such things as a temple on Shakuras designed to kill zerg. (And according to Story So Far, it specifically kills zerg.)

I thought it was the placing of the Uraj (or the other) crystal that made it specifically kill zerg?

the two combined made the energies kill all the zerg on the entire planet.

personally, i dont think it was design to just kill the zerg, it probably scanned anything that was inside(you were ordered to move your troops in before it went off) and modified its energy to not affect everything else of that specie(sp?).

I thought, although i could be wrong as i can't remember the source, 1 crystal was for it to target the zerg and the other one was for protoss immunity from it.

    That is 100% correct.

The crystals were basically psionic enhancements if I'm correct. High Templars are known to use these to assist them. These crystals also power a lot of Protoss facilities since they contain very high amount of psionic energy. Xel'Naga also used these for experiments.

I wanted to choose both the Zerg and Protoss campaign. The Zerg because at the end of Broodwar, it said Kerrigan was awaiting some kind of new threat, possibly the Xel'Naga. The Protoss campaign because of the whole secret mission. Also, during Blizzcon they showed some cinemetics with Zeratul talking about the Xel'Naga. However, I voted Protoss because of the stronger link between the two races.

Episode IV : A New Hope
Episode V: The Zerg Strkies Back
Episode VI: Return of the Xel'Naga

    They might be good.

    ahem

dont act like star-wars obsessed dorks 'kthx

anyways, Raynor, in the last mission, must try to stop the summoning of the Xel'Naga, it appears it is going well, but as you finish the playable part of the mission(like in SC1 and W3, you get a cutscene) something happens and the Xel'Naga are still summoned, then a cinematic starts, with the Xel'Naga fleet arriving, and the camera zooms in on the bridge of a single battleship, and there you see the leader of the Xel'Naga grinning evil.
    THE END

in the second campaign the zerg get nearly oblitorated by the XelNaga

in the third campaign organize a offensive to take out the heart of the Xel'Naga fleet

star wars is awesome >: (

also, blizzard said that each campaign won't end in a drastic cliffhanger, so much you feel cheated if you don't buy the rest.

But the last one should. Maybe not a cliffhanger, like Halo 2 (if anyone from Bungie is reading this, MAKE HALO 4!!!), but something very epic.

The Xel'Naga thing will only happen in the third and second episodes, if it does, and should be the second last or so mission. BTW, did anyone remember the mission sequence. I saw screenshots of them before, I just forget now.

  17. Multiplayer? Probably never unless we get more than two expansions. Single-player? Atleast by the time Legacy of The Void comes out.

On a side note, I hope we get more than three... Perhaps we'll get six :) Ahhh! I can dream can't I?
