Since the game is going to be unfamiliar at the start, I'll play the campaign first

 

Campaign to learn the game. Learn the race, and the enemie race. To learn weaknesses. and strongsides . Then its of to Bnet! and Kick some a**!

I would get right into the campaign straight away.

Personally I think you should always start with the campaign in order to get a feel for everything

i would probbaly go campaign too, since its new and get to know the new units and the story line and maybe new maps if they have any.

I'd play the campaign first. Not only is it good practice, it's... well a Story.

 

Ok then, repost:

The first thing Ill do is to go and play some skirmish to qucikly recap all the units, after few hours Ill go register my new nick and start playing Battle.net ove rmy second TRAINING account. If I get bored or if Battle.net 2.0 will be the World of Laggcraft Ill go play some more single player until the situation calms down.
After things settle down a bit, after couple of weeks, Ill start playing on my main account.
(I am assuming that you can still have multiple accounts as in old battle.net)

So ignoring some starting learning and stuff i vote for BATTLE.NET!

BTW: How come so few people are going to play bettle.net?

 

Because they are interested in the storyline and maybe not are so good on multiplayer?

 

Cause they want to learn how to use all the units first. Campaign maps in RTS's usually favor two or three units due to certain terrain futures or enemy units/AI's, forcing you to master all units one by one.

And as perfey said. The story maaan! people wanna know what happens.

 

As I said, I playn on playing few hours skirmish first to learn units, but battlnet follows right after that (ony training account ofcourse)
