From:

Through sheer willpower and Zergish authority, they defy gravity.

This reminds me of a haiku I wrote:

I cannot tell you
How Guardians stay aloft.
They must be magic!

No no no....Not how they stay aloft, that doesn't bother me....Probably sacs filled with some lighter than air gas.

No, what bothers me is the actual movement. What force pushes the Overlord around?

EDIT: And that is really sad that you wrote a haiku about Guardians. Just.....Sad.

We can sort of judge how the overlord moves by watching the 1st zerg cinematic in the original campaign. They bob up and down, and those "hanging tenticles" flap in and out. So that's most likely how they move.
And it's no surprise that they move so slow initially until the upgrade.

As much as I love Zerg, I wouldn't ever want to be near anybody's sacs.  I will never ride anyone's sacs, not ever.  I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want this title:

Sac Rider TM

And it's obvious that overlords propell forward by rythmically expelling small squirts of fart.  The overlord isn't a big puffy bag for no reason you know.  It's a big ass floaty bag of hot mutant funk.

For me it would depend what else is in the Overlord. Seriously do you really want to ride in a giant sac with 7 other Zerglings all itching to chew up a Terran...

I think I look to much like a Terran for surviving that. Although moving beyond that it would be quite amazing to ride in one. The schlurping noises always seemed cool to me. ^_^

I'd love to travel in an overlord to and from school everyday, instead of being stuck in trafiic for 30mins........or wait 30mins for a delayed train.......

Pix and mc2, I thought you two were cool, but I guess you guys were just...

Sac Riders TM

Thou shalt be branded for all eternity. ;D

At least try to fight for the Red Sac Rider spot, red one's always the leader and main star. If you end up being Pink Rider or Yellow Rider, you'll have to be the girl...

There's plenty of room inside the sac :D The Overlord is just as big as the Guardian.
I suppose the inside would look something like the mission briefing room for the Zerg, not as freaky as the Terran's.

To be honest I reckon it would be something close to being in the womb all over again... Floating around in some zerg-type goo. Mmmm.

It'd probably be filled with nourishing amniotic-like fluid. Man that should be an upgrade for the overlord. A placenta. It heals damaged units quicker than normal if they're loaded up into the sacs if the placenta upgrade has been researched...are overlords still in SC2?

The inside wouldn't be like a womb, it's gonna be pretty stable and have hard surfaces, because lets not forget you can have 2 siege tanks or 2 reavers in it. And it has to be pretty dry inside as well so those electrical units can still function after it comes out. (theory only works if a DA mind controlled zerg and terran workers)
