There willm be maybe a new venerable character that will probably sacrify his/herself.
I don't know why I don't trust her ... she plays the victim in front of Raynor, but she will trease him. Like Kerrigan did.

Will there be TERRORISTS ? A war on Terror in Starcraft 2 ? Raynor is a terrorist (according to Mengsk's media). We know he isn't.

I can say 100% FOR SURE THERE WILL BE:

A cliffhanger, they will leave questions and major question or possibilities, much more than what Brood War left us from Duran.

Be it the Xel'Naga actually arriving in the end, or something more ominous (Xel'Naga arch-nemesi?)

I also predict that hybrids will be set up to be a brand new race in SC III

Milli, please refrain from double posting.
Although, excellent Sublime reference in your sig there.

    Below is pure speculation ofc.
@Windblade- I sort of doubt we'll have to wait till the very end of the Protoss Xpac for the Xel'Naga to appear. Judging from that one cinematic with Raynor and Zeratul I would expect to see them somewhere in WoL.
Xel'Naga arch-nemesi? More than one??? Cool, but no way. Also I'm pretty damn sure you just made a typo.
    :p
Either way, considering the Zerg almost wiped them out before SC1 even began...I'd be surprised to see some other species coming out of the woodwork to piss in their (insert your favorite breakfast cereal).

Starcraft 3 ?? So we'll have to wait again for ..... 15 years now. It's true, from now it will be 15 years, but after Legacy of the void it will be 10 years.
The great heroes died (Tassadar, Fenix) as if there was a fatality. General Duke died, he deserved to. There is a need of big villains too. It seems to me that some crew member of Raynor will trease their leader.

the Xel'Naga dont necessarily have to be present in WoL or even HoS, LoV sounds more appropriate. However having them enter in WoL (probably the end if anything) is also appropriate.

Yes the Swarm did damage them, but the Zerg are nubcakes compared to them really. Why? It was a surprise attack, like a back stab from nowhere. The Xel'naga never expected the Overmind would attack them to assimilate (thankfully they werent). So it is plausible they do have an equal and opposing faction to themselves - much like in WC3; the undead were in reality a branch of the Burning Legion who were the opposing faction to the Night Elves.

i say nemesi b/c nemesis's is a tongue twista! I don't see Hybrids being evil, if anything they have been hinted of being neutral or good, In fact...maybe the Xel'Naga are coming so that they can nurture the hybrids before the ***got Duran corrupts them?

We should expect StarCraft 3, currently it does not look like WarCraft IV will be coming anytime soon as a RTS, im assuming that when WC IV comes out, StarCraft will leave RTS and take the MMO stage and then you basically keep alternatng the 2 franchises b/w the 2 genres. So WC IV = UoS (universe of starcraft), WoW2= SC IV

Maybe just some Xel'Naga units and structures will be doodads or special units, not buildable or produceable.

I don't want this trilogy to end in a "To be continued" like. That will mean we'll have to wait for Starcraft 3. Starcraft story must have an end. Hope this ending will be great and 'just'.

I hope SC doesn't end with SC2. I'll be happy playing it till SC3 comes out.

Well look at how WC3 ended

Arthas became the Lich King - it was a great ending...but at the same time left an epic cliffhanger/possibilities

SC, I have said this sooo many time before,...does not work as an MMORPG. Yet, it could be the first MMORTS! I would ****ing love that. You don't create a character; you create a planet or perhaps a faction. From there you gain exp (or mins/gas/supply/whatever) from invading or defending home and auxiliary planets. Battles will take you down to a traditional (with some outer influences?) battle field where you play against a live opponent or their CPU commanders with user defined strategies.

With the new IP MMO, I never expect the game I just described to happen...
But I sure as **** would prefer waiting another 20 years to play the next best RTS with my favorite races as opposed to "this universe had it's run, want more warcraft rts's?".

A close to the SC saga in this game+ex pacs is far too soon.

I don't worry about it though. Look at Blizz in WoW and why WoW still works...
    GAMEPLAY BEATS LORE.
