    Hmm that would be a good idea. But what would circular give as a benefit?

    It's the same distance from the center all the way around, unlike a square. This I guess can have better map balancing...

    But if u put a circle in the corner of a map couldnt one possibly "avoid" the outer edge with out causeing a triggerd action to happen? cause the corner of the maps are square. so u cant sneak around

    if the location is right up against the sides of the map in a corner, it will be impossible to sneak around, regardless of shape. however, there will be a gap in the extreme corner, I guess...

    and that's why he wants the OPTION of either square or circular locations.

    also, circular locations could provide some interesting mobile grid usages...

    ...and aesthetics.

    how about plotting the corners of your location and having the editor make a straight line connecting them?

    be very usefull for odd shaped locations.

    Circular or other shaped location will come into play ESPECIALLY for Area of Effect triggers that are centered on a unit.

    Like for example, If I want to cast a spell that kills all units around me. It'd be best to have a circular one.
    If i want a fancier spell that kills unit diagonally like an X, centered on the hero, then one can make an X location and voila! No Grids required!

    Btw, d'you know what Grids are? :p

    I think odd-shaped ones wound be more important. For example, the locations should be able to be defined by terrain, so that maybe they could follow an area without the ugly square areas.

    UGH. I just went biking. MY FINGERS ARE COLD! Typing speed - 15 words per minute.

    Wait, one thing we REALLY need. Has anyone tried to modify projectiles, or something such as:
    ex.
    When "Ghost" upon an enemy unit, spawn broodlings around it. Does anyone know how this can be done?

    what are you trying to ask?

    When a "ghost" (( does what to an enime unit.. Attack? ))

    But u can spawn broodlings on the ghost with Center location on the ghost

    Yes, but maybe you're supposed to do something toe the ENEMY units.
    I dunno, such as spells that have x2 damage or something.

    I've tried to do this before, I just can't remember what. I think I tried to move a location to the enemy units whenever they went near the hero, and spawn there.

    when ever a unit drops to w/e % of HP sumthing happens? ionno juss a guess. im sure a trgger like that doesnt even exist lol

    Thanks for making TS! It's the best scenario ever; I play it all the time.
    The tutorial is great, too. When I get a noob teammate I always ask him/her to talk to the muta!

    I just have a few Qs:
    1. Is it true that when you make a new version, you don't change the version number, so a bunch of old/new versions overwrite each other, which is why people have to re-DL the map a lot when joining? Or do you only make one version per number (1.4, 1.4M. 1.45 etc) and the other versions with the same number are all unauthorized edits?

    2. Does the anti map hack work vs. oblivion?

    3. What does the "nexus" beacon in the new version do? Is it something that can be captured?

    3. Moose nerfed DM and mutant, which makes sense, but made mech even stronger? :arghh:

    4. Did you know that the word is "slain" and not "slained"? :D

    I do mapping for Warcraft 3, I dabble in custom spell work, unit/building balancing and creation, terrain and artwork; for some friends' projects, who do most of the triggering. I'm also working on my own Tower Defense, as well as a Battle Royale style map.

    I like seeing maps with attention to detail, usually my favorite maps aren't the most complex, but the ones that make appropriate and complex tooltips, use great color code work, modifying simple mechanics to make new abilities, etc. I do love RPG style games though.

    He made version 1.2 unprotected. Thus, many people randomly edited, making unbalanced versions such as "1.3". ONLY TRUST 1.4 and 1.4M from STAREDIT.NET!

    Oblivion, I believe, has not yet updated to 1.16.0. Don't worry, hackers are easily caught now, and for the record, it does NOT work. UPDATE!!!

    No idea.

    I don't know what you mean by nexus beacon. You mean the ones that teleports you to ur captured outposts?
