What is your favorite new Protoss unit?

I like the concept of the moving pylon.

 

the first time they revealed the Mothership, it became my favorite unit. it was PURE OWNAGE but with so many nerfs on it, i'm not sure anymore. BLAME BLIZZARD lolz anyways, hope they reconsider about the BLACKHOLE. it was really a good idea/characteristic to let the Mothership to have it

 

in theory: phase prism has a lot of strategic potential
but in-game: dunno yet. (i wanna be a beta tester for sc2!)

 

Tempest (Carrier now)!! wooo!!! for the ff: reasons..

* Tempest/Carrier are the true flagship for the protoss (maybe mothership is)
* The ability to build interceptors is really fun the way they change the battle phase for the air wars
* Having an anti-ground shield looks like a good way to contradict those heavy ground nukers
* Large unit = large health & shield
* Interceptors are the coolest air unit in the game (if u consider it a unit)
* Like the name it says tempest/carrier it surely will wreak havoc upon its enemies..

Now that they have said that carriers are back whats gonna be their new edge?? perhaps the former Anti ground shield that the tempest were recently possesing... but that really doesnt help against air wars now would it?? so ive got an idea how about giving the carrier a new skill like maybe a psi wave that cozes nearby enemy surrounding units to be knockback a little.. cool tactic ey?? so that the mainship will be safe from harm....

anyway thats just an idea.... ^_^

I voted for the Warp Rays this time. I don't know but I think this unit has huge potential and if used right, could be gamebreaking. I can think of soo many strategies involving the Warp Rays. Sending a few to destroy enemies Command Centre while you keep them busy at their chokepoint is going to be extremely effective if they don't have any defense near their Command Centre. These units will pick out buildings/heavy units like the Thors in no time.

I'm really looking forward on using the Warp Rays. And on yea, I also love the model of the Warp Rays. It looks soo beautiful and flowery. :good:

Phase Prism definitely. It's the shuttle on steroids: oh that army that I was making? Oh yeah... that's in your base. Oh no, not just a few units. No the ENTIRE army. Have fun with that! Oh, you took out that pylon to turn of my building/phase cannon? Too bad! Mobile power supply b*tches! 90% of any war is the supply line. The Phase Prism just makes that all easier. And more versatile. And hence more deadly. Go Phase Prism!

 

Wow, this was a tough one for me, the colossus was really cool, the stalker was ok, the warp ray was 2nd in my favs, but then i remembered, the Mothership!, its a superunit, but, hell, still a unit, its my favorite because for me, it represents the "new air" that blizzard is trying in different ways to implement on starcraft 2, it has the best abilities in the game so far, and well its just really cool i cant wait to use one of those babies and eat some battlecruisers yumi...

 

I would say the zealot but after seeing how weak they have become, it would have to be the twighlight archon, man they look so freekin cool now, and thank God, tyhey have a decently fast attack.

I really like the Immortals. The anti-Siege Tank potential is very good.

I love the Immortals partially becuase they are the dragoons I used to love and partially because the hardened shield is so awesome

 

The Warpray is my choice, just because i can see people sneaking in 4 or 5 and blowing a mining structure to bits. Say bye bye Command Center.

 

The immortals are too hard to go by for my favourite protoss unit. They are just soo useful in pretty much any situation. Anyone know the speed of these babies though?
