What is your favorite new Protoss unit?

i would think the stalker looks more like something to use to take out heavy infintry or hit and run type attacks, while the immortal looks like to beable to take out the bigger weponary such as siege tanks and maybe utras. Not so sure about the ultras though, but cant wait to see them.

 

nah 20 -25 stalker can't bring down the mothership. ofcourse the mothership will fire back (without using any skills) and will kill most of the stalkers early which will limit the total damage received by the mothership. i think 35 stalkers is the equivalent of 1 mothership and enough to bring it down.

how about battle cruisers. i think 6 battlecruisers(without yamato) is enough to take out the mothership. and in the end only one battlecruiser will be left.

 

if the ultra is in starcraft 2, i doubt it would count as something that wouldn't break through the shield because it's just bone... although fire is apparently concussive so you never know

 

The Mothership is my favorite besides the remodeled Zealot. The Mothership is huge, powerful, destructive, and it shoots giant blue beams that can kill in an instant. What's not to like about it? (Besides the Major Imbalance) The Phoenix was another sweet protoss unit. I don't really care for the Immortal, the Dragoon looked more fierce and didn't look like it was Anti-Air. I haven't seen the templars yet, do they look cool?

 

well in the gameplay video it showed the immortals shield activating when the immmortal was bieng hit with alot of fire power, so now i am kinda questioning that if they do put the ultra in that it would count as something with more fire power in order to activate the shield cause it does have to come in close to attack. But if not then you could always look to the stalker for help.

 

Warp Rays, even though the new ability of the Zealot makes them very hawt. I like the concept of the warp rays, and when well-played they'll most likely be the protoss ace counter against high tier units.

 

woo a lot of people started coming since I last came here I think most of them are awesome, but I rather find out about what's up with the Zerg now.

 

Warp Rays are the best! If you micro them well bye bye BCs (although... BC's can yamato kill them)

 

I doubt warp rays can be microed easily, since their beams take a while to get to full power. BC's on the other hand will always deal constant damage, so the BC's might still win anyways. I think my favorite unit is the reaver, and it will hopefully recive a HUGE makeover before SC2 is released.

I had a lot of fun making 10, then recalling them right into the enemies base. GG in maybe 5 seconds

 

I agree. 1vs1, BC will most likely beat the Warp Rays. Warp rays don't have much HP to begin with. They have like 125 HP and 75 shields only. But cost for cost, Warp Rays will beat the BC's. BC's will be more of an overall type of unit that can kill everything decently while the Warp Rays are strictly good vs buildings and captial ships.

 

if the star relic has passive cloaking then thats mah fav

With cloak and ray that when blows one thing up, it hurts things around it!!!

Colossus is so tall it can be hit with ground and air attacks?!?!?!
I think it looks cool, its weapon is cool, but in the end it is so vulnerable

 

So far I like the Twiight Archon the best....Mothership a close second...

 

I think I voted for Colossus originally, and although I still love them, I'm gonna have to side with my boy the Twilight Archon. He just looks so dominant... I can't wait to use them both.

 

I saw the new Carrier here. So Carrier is my favorite one(Even the old Carrier).

i chose stalker too,
blinking up cliffs is gonna be very useful,

it is slightly scary, a cliff surrounded base with anti air used to be a good defence

Well im leaning more towards the Star Relic. With it's Hallucination spell, the new Detonate ability, and the power to cloak units it seems like a good unit to bring with you to the battlefield. Granted that it has to stay stationary for it to be able to cloak, but I think that it's worth the risk.

I am in kind of disbelieve that the Collossus are winning the vote.
When Blizzard introducted the Collossus back in May, I remembered many people ripping apart Blizzard saying that they copied War of the Worlds. I guess later on, the Collossus grew into them.

Personally, I really don't like the Collossus. I just think it looks uncool and ugly. It doesn't really look intimidating whatsoever. It looks like its legs are going to break any moment. (Sorry if I offended anyone) :-\
It was actually one of my top reasons on why I strayed away from the Protoss and wanting to use the Zergs in SC2.
