What don't you like so far about starcraft 2?

Brood War isn't Starcraft 2.

Anyways I like all the stuff people hate, sue me, increase your e-pen0r over the intarwebz using your 1337 ins00lts on me, but I will still like them.

They only showed 3 Zerg units for a reason.
A) That's all they had so far.
B) They don't want to reveal every bit of Starcraft 2 back in May.
C) Zerg and Terran are going to be revealed at e3 and BlizzCon.

 

Alright, I'll throw my 2 cents in, I guess. I personally liked the banelings idea. We don't know their HP/tech level, but what we DO know is their speed of movement, which seems fair for the amount damage they will probably be able to do. It seemed to take the Colossus a couple seconds to kill off a baneling from the video, so it probably won't be low HP like the scourge, but like I said, given the speed, it looks like it would have a hard time reaching a target straight up anyway. Anyone think about what it would be like for a mass baneling drop?

And as far as the Soul Hunters go, we CAN give them a chance, especially given that the Soul Hunters aren't officially "out" yet. I understand that they were presented in a "leaked" video, and so I'm thinking that there might be still possible edits to their look.

Finally, I really do stand by those who are critical of the seige tank look. It's a unit that denotes so much power and raw destruction, and it looks like the shells are coming out of a plastic toy. I really hope to God they change it up a bit.

 

Well, I saw this thread and just had to post on it. First, I hate that new tank design color-wise. Second, I don't really like the soul hunters, but like said before, I'll give them a chance. The other thing I don't like is that this game isn't expected to come out until next year. The Marine's shield is in fact an upgrade and affect hp. I like how the Reapers replace the firebats. The firebats were almost useless against the protoss anyway.

EDIT- AUGUST brings good news to Zerg users. Zerglings are staying. They in fact transform into Banelings! (Banelings are suicidal)

 

They had nice firepower against Zealots but they were still overpowered by Psi Blades and shields.

The one thing I don't like about Starcraft 2 is how some people have already saying they hate units... and they haven't played them. But thumbs up to PZFan, he's actually going to give it a chance when we can get our hands on atleast a demo.

 

what i dont like so far? is that already so many lil brats and wastes of semen are complaining oh i hate this and i hate that oh mommy dont buy me the tempest it suxzorz. you really cant complain at a game that we have only seen pre-balance demos and unfinished products of. especially the gameplay vid that is totally unbalanced not that its unfinished but that the presenters totally tweaked abilities to make a better "whooooa" factor..think about it, has blizzard ever let you down? just sit on your spoiled lil bottoms and wait patiently until next year, have mommy and daddy buy it for you and then speak up. much love, peace out.

and even if blizzard keeps the tank the same what are you gonna do? not buy it? when your playing terran your gonna say "i dont want no monkey lip tank" and not build them and get raped. or if someone is terran and has tanks, "oh i dont like that unit so im not gonna have anything to do with it". are you going to change your strategy to the un-ugly units only rush?? your not gonna invest in ugly(they are ugly but look useful) soul hunters to 1337ZOR PWN enemy infantry? then dont even buy it and go play Dawn of War or C&C3....but on another note i hope blizzard caters to everyones wants and needs and creates custom units, you can choose the hair color, skin tone, and body type so you can make your own sexy units and be a happy lil camper. cuz every single person needs to be satisfied right?? yep.

Only thing I'm not really fond of is hoverboarding protoss that'll prolly yell cowabunga as they kill their enemies. And the fact that I dont get to giggle at the game with my massive Carrier fleet. Carriers just look so bad ass. The tempest just looks like a blue/grayish Warp ray with a few doodads tucked in.

*edit* And anyone who denotes the usefulness of the Firebat (which is slightly lame not having) has never put one or two in a bunker mid-game having them save you from a Zealot or Ling rush.

 

Mothership, NO doubt. Strong units are good, overpowered aren't.

As long as the mothership can be lock-downed or emp-shockwaved, it cant be dealt with.. I wonder tho, what a zerg player can do against it.

have a queen or queen like unit ensare it, chase it down with scourge and devourers, if they havent evolved into some other crazy anti air units yet . . . .

The Colossus design must be changed, or just delete the colossus and replace it by another unit that burns the marines and zerglings.

 

...I like the Colossus design.
It gives off a "hug me, I dare you" feel.
