I said the dominion will be the main enemies and they'll come in conflict with zerg, i was specifically answering his 'terran vs terran' post.

hehe, i'd laugh if jimmy found an "unawokened" overmind with a crap load of zerg in a chamber thats impervious to all psi abilities even kerrigans, so she doesnt know what the craps happing here.

Here is what we know (assuming Blizzard isn't just messing with us):
    1. The campaign focuses on Jim Raynor. While he can follow divergent paths, the story will focus on him.
    2. The campaign will not end in a cliffhanger, there will be a clear ending, though there will be plenty of unresolved threads.
    3. Zeratul gets a mini-campaign.

Its reasonable to expect Raynor to fight the Zerg plenty, as has been indicated in various footage we've seen. The Dominion is also a given. Its unlikely that Raynor will fight a major Protoss faction, but we've already seen one mission where he does fight an isolated group of Protoss.

I personally think that Wings of Liberty is gonna be more of a "setting the stage" campaign and let us feel around how the Starcraft universe has changed since Broodwar.

This would also lend very well to how the campaign is suppose to work as in you can choose which missions and planets to visit. So you could go around and see how the universe has changed by exploring and undertaking the various missions. Then I believe it will start opening up to introduce the major storyline and then after a climax it will be the end and set the stage for the next one.

There a few reasons why I say this, the first of which is that the game is gonna be divided into 3 separate games each containing a huge campaign focusing on each of the three races. Now since it is gonna be much larger and expansive they are probably gonna put in a lot more "side stories" and flesh out the universe more. The best way to do this would to be to ease the player into and let them "feel around" themselves and then after you get an idea of whats going on and everything the major plot line is gonna start unfolding.

Blizzard mentioned that the zerg have very quiet and hibernating since the events of broodwar so I doubt we will see much of them in the beginning of the Terran campagin and thats where I think its gonna start shifting into the main plot line is when the zerg reawaken at a climax towards the mid or end of the Terran campaign and then it will set the stage for the next campaign which happens to be the Zergs. Until that happens I think its gonna be a lot of exploring and finding out different things.

I think the story will be something lame, like finding out that the marines are not actually psychopaths, but are under some evil psionic spell synonymous with the orcs and the burning legion. Then I think there will be some revelation that all three races have a common origin, having been designed by the same supreme power. Then I think we'll discover that much of this information is already known to some persons in the terran government, forming some obscure conspiracy theory that would of course have to be infiltrated and destroyed in the final mission. Hence 'wings of liberty' is freeing the terran race from a perpetual war, and bringing optimism for their future.

Who says it has to make any sense? Game stories are often ridiculous, but once interlaced with 30 'kill the enemy' missions, then it all makes perfect sense. :)

    Y'lost me around here.

Most marines are psychopaths/murderers/hardcore criminals, and any "evil spell" is merely the resocialization.

    And the underlined part... what?

I don't expect any recycling until Legacy of the Void. (I expect that to end with the protoss allying with someone else to beat the hybrids, like the last mission of Reign of Chaos. But I just can't see any other story "cloning".)

On the comment about the revelation that all 3 races will have a common origin it is already common knowledge that the Zerg and the Protoss have been genetically engineered or altered by the Xel'naga. The only "revelation" would be they also played a role in the Terrans which I think its highly unlikely since the Terran race origined from a different sector of space all together but it is possible the Xel'naga visited there also but unlikely.

This isn't Warcraft, nor a fantasy based game it is sci-fi based so it is almost 100% certain there isn't gonna be any "magic" or charcaters under "spells" in a fantasy sense.

Techinally, all stories are just clones with varations anyway.
