Are they? Hm. Maybe just a nerf against all non-buildings then. Other people mentioned they have no real weakness, and own most of the possible counters to them (Vikings, Mutas, etc) when in large enough numbers.

Or nerf their hp. Make them real glass cannons!

Reapers need a hp buff! They have been nerfed so hard that they are dead as a unit. It takes too long to get them in the beginning and later in the game they die too easily. If they are to have a role (and apparently they are not supposed to have one in the beginning) they must be a bit less fragile in order to withstand more than one shot later in the game.

Actually their only role is supposed to be in early game. Blizzard overreacts stepping up against rushes is all. I just don't know why Blizzard doesn't realise that a well executed rush should destroy a poorly executed defence. Right now they lean towards poor defence > good rush, which is plain stupid.

No, terran are not imba. EMP is a little too strong but other than that they're quite fine, imo.

Terran are super imba. MMM rushes are way too strong; Protoss gateway units dissolve against them. Cloaked Banshees are ridiculously annoying harassment units. And as you mentioned the EMP is stupidly powerful against Protoss.

As a Protoss player I have the most trouble against Terran. Assuming the Terran player is good, Zealots are instantly useless against microed marines. Stalkers counter Marines nicely but they don't really work that well against Marauders. Sentries of course are great, but it still feels pretty imba overall to me.

Oh I never got back to you, right? :D

Here's an argument for you in case you didn't move on: I watch/follow e-sport events via streams, youtube, and replays. And as I'm a Zerg player, I focus on Zerg games. And I see that Zerg rarely make it to even an honourable mention. It's why Fruitdealer's victory was such a huge thing. It's why it was hard to find ZvX replays towards the finals of MLG (together with the brackets page being retarded but that's beside the point). I mean I watched a ZvT where the T had 2 idle workers... that's how low I had to go in the brackers for Z replays.

So long story short, my argument rests on my observations after months of following competitive play.

Ok, then I am reassured that it is just your feeling, not a fact. Accordingly, you should rather call it statement or thesis, not "argumentation"; and rather impression than "observation".

I personally try to draw conclusions from statistics. So whereas TvP might be imba for the top of the top of the top, where people make almost no mistakes and it thus comes down race balance, this is not necessarily the case for normal people (bronze to mid-diamond). Example: Morrow could use reapers perfectly, apparently they were imbalanced at this level of play because Idra, who is one of the best Zerg in the world, could do nothing against them. BUT very few people can micro like Morrow - thus in bronze league (for example) there is not this kind of imbalance. Therefore, the overall statistics in the thread linked to by me is much more telling than your top 20 statistics (it doesn't even go for the top 200 apparently), because your statistics only tells us something about balance for the very best skill levels.

Another example, in low leagues 6pool on scrap station is extremely imbalanced (wider choke). But it is not imba for higher leagues as 6pool can be defended with good micro.

    Yea...

If T get into your base before you get charge and blink its game over. (so you usually need both by 9 minutes oh and 6-8 zealots and 10 stalkers)

Hell, even zealots with charge are STILLLLL kited to death.

    stim is insane..

Jesus does every site suffer from smart arses who think they know the meaning of words perfectly when they actually don't? I never said argumentation. See, I can nitpick as well, but what's the point?

And how don't scarce Zerg players in upper e-sport brackets constitute a fact but rather a feeling? Am I not physically seeing the lack of Zerg players? I do. Hence, it's a fact.

Lastly, about your pro player example, I find it odd that you have such a limited scope on things. If we assume that bronze players play 80% worse than diamond players (arbitrary numbers and comparison for the sake of simplicity), it means they play that much worse in general. They also micro 80% worse. And guess what, they micro their reapers 80% worse. And the defending player also defends 80% worse. What I'm getting at is that there is no such thing as "being imba at a certain level" because below that particular level not only the defending party is worse (which would theoretically make reaper rushes easier) but the rushing player is also worse. This is assuming that both the diamond and the bronze pair of players are on a par. Of course the above does not hold for bronze-gold matchups, but balance can't be discussed with differing skill levels - because the gold player will easily make any unit seem imbalanced against a bronze player.

So the only reliable pool of information for balance is pro gaming and the top players in general. And if you don't accept this, then I'll just pull the "there's more money in e-sports than casual players so they get more attention" card and we're done.

Of course protoss has trouble against terran, they are the only race against which the protoss can't just 4 warp gate rush and win on one base. You have to expand and play a macro game, and apparently most protoss aren't willing to do that.

Even when Zealot charge is tripled charged, it still takes too long to get, especially vs diamond T's that MM rush you withing 9 minutes..
