One pylon on top of a cliff out of sight: 100 minerals
Three cannons out of sight: 450 minerals
Building 3 cannons that will have line of sight on their resources giving the other 3 cannons easy access to their economy: Priceless

Using naughty words as a distraction works well when your not doing anything.

i always found that rushing marines and the range upgrade then bunkering in my enemy , of course later reinforcing the bunkers with siege tanks and cutting off any way of an escape by air to be a really dirty method of playing. If you pull it off of course.

What I would do as zerg is fly an overlord behind an enemy zerg's base and drop a drone, but I would wait to build the nydus canal. Send a small attack force and go for the front of the base. Then, while the enemy is distracted, build a nydus canal behind the enemy's base. Be sure to build enough units for the frontal attack so that the enemy will be distracted long enough for the canal to finish, then send my whole ground force through the canal while at the same time sending my air against the sides.

When playing TvZ it's fun to bunker rush early expanders.

my enemy was going mass carriers.

    I load 3 medics to a dropship
    go behind the fleet
    blind the 3 observers

    nuclear launched detected!
    EMP shockwave [for added drama]
NEVER KNOW WHAT HIT EM. hehe...

I lost the game though when his mass DTs broke through the line.

Did you lockdown the carriers? If not, why didn't he just run from where the nuke was aimed?

Carriers are quite slow, but why would the other player not use recall? If a player has the recources to mass carriers, why does he not build an arbiter then?

I like dropping lurkers with the help of overlords behind the enemy Peon Line. The best part is that sometimes he has cannons at his exp, but still leaves an open place for Lurkers BEHIND the minerals. There are even some pretty good players that do this mistake from time to time.

1 - Nuking people's rally points when they're covered in units.
2 - Siege Tank drops in bases that have perfect spots.
    3 - Ninja lockdowns.
4 - Getting Dark Templar as fast as humanly possible.

favorites gotta be doing this thing (dont remember where i first saw it, but it was brilliant) where you get like a 4 tank drop and you put them on the very VERY edges of their base, and then send the dropships in and get the guys trying to kill them, thinking the units are still in. then when they are chasing them down you lead them away from the base, send the tanks to the top of the base, and seige. so great. it mightve been a boxer vod, not sure

Ever met a siege tank wall that you can't seem to get past? #
Load some Zealots into a Shuttle then drop them one by one directly into the tank mass to cause mad friendly fire :D
It works if they have tanks by their minerals too, instant worker death for a cost of 1 Zealot.

    Some fun strats

When I use to play with my roommate in college (2000 - 2002) we use to pride ourselves in trying to win with the most outrageous strategies. I am trying to remember what they all were, but here are a few that come to mind:

    1. If we were toss/terran or zerg/terran (worked better with the toss/terran) and we were against one or two zerg opponents the terran would go mm and research blind on medics while the partner would quick dt or lurkers. As soon as we had dt the terran would scan the zerg and blind the overlords. If they did not have a spore colony (which zerg does at that time unless they are worried about air) the dts would wreck havoc.
    2. If we were terran/zerg I would sometimes build a CC in his base while he teched to quick drop and would get a queen. He would attack my own CC I built in his base so he could infest it and do infested terran drop on the opponent. I would normally try doing a small drop on the opponents to distract them while he had fun with exploding their base.
    3. Lastly, we would sometimes pull off some crazy cannon/tank pushes on lost temple. Early on in the game when we scouted he would try bringing two probes to scout a person and hide one in a blind spot in the base. We would get a cannon started below the cliff while the terran built a factory below and would float it up. Once the cannon below finished, the hidden probe in the base would build a cannon or two above while the terran started pumping tanks from the factory that he floats onto the cliff. It was beautiful when we pulled it off.

Lol I just owned someone on bnet.

Sent 6 Drones to his base, micro'ed a litte, sent some more, killed off his Marines, still with Drones, sent in some Zerglings to mop him up.
Just remember to build an Extractor to replenish the Drone's hitpoints instantly. :]
