I don't think we humans are smart enough to comprehend what makes Protosses happy, and neither do Blizzard, however godly they are... ;D

"Protoss do not have any visible mouths, noses, or ears. Two of the Protoss portraits (namely those of Aldaris and the Arbiter unit) appear to have mouths, but these "mouths" do not ever open. Though it is unknown how their senses of hearing or chemoreception operate, they are widely believed to possess such sensitivities. They can communicate telepathically with each other, especially over long distances."

    Yup, you're right. :p

Or maybe... Starcraft is a video game and the Protoss are not real!

    Nah, couldn't be.

Well, I normally don't like jumping the gun on content, but I doubt there is much harm in playful speculation. In the wake of the reaper's appearance I feel that the vulture's place is being overtaken. The reaper appears to be an effective harassment and raiding unit, even more so than a vulture. They are swift, devastating against small units (flame-thrower upgrade), and are extremely mobile with the cliff jumping ability. Putting the units side by side I would say that reapers are better at what the vulture was meant to do, without considering upgrades. Now, if both units were in the game what would be left for the vulture, mines? An entire unit defined by a single upgrade doesn't seem to fit the style of Blizzard. But, I could be wrong and there might indeed be a place in the Terran tech-tree for two harassment units.

What is your take on the vulture's fate?

I would not be suprised if the vulture is indeed gone. Nor would I especially care since I didn't use it a lot.

But i did against Protoss (pidermines and zealots hunting).

    I would be very disapointed.

Vultures are what made TvP possible at a quicker scale, if they remove vultures, I would be very disappointed. Hmm... Perhaps vultures will play a bigger role in StarCraft 2?

No, I'm pretty sure reapers take part of their role which means another unit will take the other part.

Yea, but those vultures were so fun to use in drops. Drop by their miners lay mines all over the place then kill miners. Then sit back and laugh as he loses half of his army trying to scramble through his mine ridden base to stop your "4" vultures. Its one of those moves that most players would quit after...
