    Ghosts in SC2 deal more damage than SC 1 Goliaths vs Mutas since Goliaths had explosive damage. However weapons upgrades are not included in this calculation.

    For Vikings, Scouts dealt something like 28 explosive damage. Mutas = Small unit = 28/2 = 14 damage while Vikings (airmode) deal 10*2 = 20 vs Mutas while having less hitpoints than Scouts. Also Vikings (airmode) deal additional 2*10 vs Massive (BC, Carrier .Mothership,Collosos). Wraith is SC1 dealt 20 explosive = 10 damage vs Mutas so Vikings deal twice its damage.

    but in fact ghost deal more damage on SC2..

    German really? well then that explains the mass muta genocide (jk really sorry german people) everythings gonna be fine, blizzard has never made an unbalanced game, leastaways not one that they couldnt patch into balance.

    BC's commander is obviously russian.

    The ghost might deal more damage to mutalisks compared other units but there are more units suitable for doing the job. Btw, it was never confirmed if there are such countries like Germany, Russia, or USA in Starcraft, for all we know we have different planets thrived by us humans aka terran.

    The Valkyrie needs no replacement for a few reasons, the biggest one being this is not the first Starcraft and Starcraft 2 has completely different balance. Next, the Terran did pretty good without before it was added in Brood War. Finally, even with the Valkyrie I find goliaths or undetected wraiths much more effective for anti-air but thats just me.

    stop keep bringing old units back pls.... already tooooo many old units fooling around in SC2, u got a new gf, don't look back!

    I speculate that Terrans will get a unit in the expansions (perhaps the 2nd) that are similar to Valks or the scrapped Predator in order to avoid to much overlapping roles in Terran army and still give something new. But we will see how Blizzard balances the game, including when expansions comes out, since right now Terrans does not need that type of dedicated unit.

    That is if they even release an expansion, which I don't think is anytime soon because the game is split into 3 stand alone games for each races campaign. It doesn't make sense to add new units if all 3 games are going to be stand alone with all races in mulitplayer, it just wouldn't work.

    Instead of an expansion pack I think we are just going to get the remaining two games in the trilogy.

    Thor (even as a ground unit) has Valkyrie's functionality now (vs groups of light air), in addition to 'tanking'.
    However, I feel that Thor itself is the reason why siege tanks became so terribly weak (in comparison to SC:BW)

    A little comment, expansions and games are the same. They will add new units to each "game".

    About Siege Tank, they are little weaker but that s called balancing. They deal more damage to some units and less damage to others and Immortals looks like a hard counter to Siege Tanks. But Terrans has got other units like Marauders and Banshees that looks interesting as well as Marines might be more usefull with shield upgrade. Terran strategy will most likely be much different compared to SC:BW.
