cheap stuff?!? it takes skill, yo! you gotta hit them and teleport fast, be IN RANGE to hit them with it, and if not, GET in range while under fire. on morpheus it's harder too because there is low gravity outside of the little rooms by default

Haha, me and some friends somehow managed to link our laptops together in class and play DOOM for about a week until the teacher tripped over a wire one day. We plan on finding Marathon and doing the same thing this year, fun stuff.

    Epic 459-day bump

UT runs on a household calculator so it's not such an exclusive game. Let's get together for some bloodshed for old times' sake, shall we? I volunteer to host on a 1mbit line, you just need to bring yourself. Anyone interested?

    *Epic necropost*

I picked up UT again. Just for a few days though.

The thing is, the game runs crazy fast even on my old laptop, I've played on it before and never had a problem like this. The timers on Assault etc. go about twice as fast as seconds should. Anyone knows possible fixes for this?
I've only found there's a 'minimum req. framerate' in options, but no max (why should there be?)

Well, you could try getting a program like moslo and slowing it down with that.

There's three of us arranging some 2004 bloodshed, if anyone's interested. I'm not sure if it's via hamachi or not because I haven't played with them yet, but I think even the pirate works online. Mine is legit so don't try and pull that card :p

I would join you, but I don't know if I could go back to 2004 from Unreal Tournament 3. 2004s gameplay is a bit floaty and 3 was a big improvement over it imo.

Yes that's what I heard. Would you say UT3 is closer to UT then?

Well, my first Unreal Tournament was Championship/2004 until then I was Quake guy so I've never actually played the original Unreal Tournament games. However, I have heard from people that UT3 is closer to the originals but like I said I can't really compare.

The original is the best, sadly. But I am not a fan of UT vehicle combat, so when I played UT3 I played without them mostly.

It's something about the scale and weapons and all about UT3 that feels wrong when playing without vehicles (I guess it was designed around the vehicle-modes mostly), but I guess it doesn't matter if you guys do like the vehicle combat.
But since I am all for the on-foot combat my favorite ones are the first Unreal Tournament for the gameplay and 2003 for the style.
