my guess is it replaces the statis orb or is the protoss vindicator

 

that could be just a single player unit ... like the campaign only units in war3. could be some sort of council guard or something that you can use in some mission (maybe even a prototype of a new unit that will appear in the addon).

i believe it can be either:
a)the most wanted Protoss unit:an infantry with GTA attack(Protoss have always needed one of those,ever since Starcraft 1)

b)the Protoss Vindicator,making his comeback from Starcraft:Ghost

but either way(and since both are very similar),we NEED such a unit in SC2.i mean,c'mon,why can't Protoss have an infantry with aerial attacks??they have the most incredible technology on the whole galaxy,but they can't make ranged weapons for their foot soldiers ??that's just plain silly,if you ask me

please,Blizzard,add this unit(or bring the Vindicator back) to Starcraft 2,please!!

 

Wow, that has got to be THE most badass Protoss unit I've ever seen. My bet is that he's a Hero unit in the campaign and that's about it. It would be VERY nice to see the Vindicator make it into the game, especially looking like that but I just don't see that happening. It would overlap roles with other units in the game, such as the Stalker in GTA and the Immortal in GTG.

 

i'd have to disagree,because while Stalkers hava ATA attacks,they aren't infantry.the Goliath in SC had ATA attack,but his role didn't overlap with the Marine's.it would be the same thing here...

 

Yes but the vindicator has a crappy tiny rifle this thing has TWO HUGE CANNONS That's much better. That would make for an interesting hero

 

yeah,this weapon is huge.it almost like a siege weapon of sorts.definitively it should be a hero of some sort.

but the Vindicator's weapon was nowhere near tiny.it was pretty big,actually.

i mean cmon the extra large suit with the crystals on it is to bind his psi energys to the lifeless body he is inhabiting along with the cannons to discharge his powerfull psiciounic powers in large plasma bursts

I was thinking the Cannons could be some kinda mass anti ground weapon, instead of firing at air ships, why not make it fire up and then land in a group of units and explode in plasma fury and the psi blades be a upclose weapon just like zealots.
