Remy.. that was just a deflection to keep me from knowing the secrets of your Korean Chi.

Is it that you're not supposed to teach the white man????

    ;)

But seriously... what do you use against T who is going M&M + Tanks in early tier 2???

My only solution for that has been to go 12 expo and then just pump hydras/lurks/lings at 'em until I break the M&M mass.

That's basically the Zerg answer to everything, micro. You micro your good mix of units to hit the opposition in as much of a coordinated effort as you can. But another thing is to try to do as much damage as you can with early mutas or lurkers, harass the hell out of them. Repeated efforts of chipping away at them is better than massing up in hopes of defeating them in a single effort in mid-game.

I really don't see an easy way to deal with siege tech ready Terran. There is no magic mix of unit combo that will win you the fight on its own. It only gets worse after they get vessels. Maybe we should play Terran...

I know... ZvP seems to be so easy compared to ZvT. I always end up having to just survive until Tier 3 when I can start getting defilers and ultras. I have to scourge the SVs and hope I can take out enough of them to stay alive. The M&M is only counterable by Lurkers, really, so I have to keep the SVs away.

Then you have the tanks that constantly annihilate any group of Hydralisks I produce... it's just a messy situation.

I try to muta rush and at least weaken the opponent enough to gain map control, but that only works so many times on an opponent.

I use the wraith for hits and run only. They attack, get attacked, some are destroyed, and I send the damaged ones to be repaired.

The wraith is not as useless as you believe. It is just good for a hit and run strategy.

The scout suck grave !! It is toooo expensive. And is fragile. I use corsairs and dragoons at its place.

the wraith is not as bad as people think, firstly you need at least 6 (8 against terran) of them so you can take out a worker with one shot, secondly you need to avoid direct confrontations against ground units at all costs. use hit and run and cloak to your advantage

Mass wraith is actually quite good against zerg, they don't have very strong anti-air. (by Mass i mean 40 or so, normally only viable in team games)don't try it against protoss though, psi storms will tear you apart.

Yeah the queen sucked, but Parasite could have been a great ability if it didn't tell you that units were infected. Or if the warning is less obvious. The green wire frame warning made the ability completely useless.

    Units That could Be Gone

If you wanted any Zerg Unit gone, what would it be and why? I would want the Scourge gone because it's obsolete with the Devourer.
After I played a game as the Zerg against Terrans on a map where you have to use transports for ground unit assaults I used the Devourer to hold of Wraiths. It sucked. They broke my defenses and then proceded to destroy half of my base. So I changed my idea to Devourer that I want gone.

Omg, I loved the Devourer, owned just about any air unit, was tough, massable and worked well with Mutalisks. Scourge I'd like to be changed or go. And I guess non of you are Zerg players.

I'd have to say the Devourer should go, I thought it was pretty useless...

Sry zergalicious, but in my opinion the Devourer sucked, I just simply massed mutalisks against air, or went hydras or whatever.. scourges are hardly ever needed, but when they are, you really love them.
I think the unit that WILL get axed is the Queen, either that or totally modified.

Re: Units That could Be Gone

Devourer was so awesome. It's attack slowed down the enemies' attack, they were vulnerable to damage, and it was just so awesome. Mutalisk tore through units that stood through nine volleys of the devourer's attack. They were just late tier and slow, that's all

Re: Units That could Be Gone

Devourer needed tons of it to make a decent effect, but were meant as a capital ship, as a support air unit. I say it doesn't work as anything, as Mutas/Hydras/Scourges can do its role much more effectively. Devourers had a terrible cooldown, what was a pain to micro. I say it definitely should be axed or heavily reshaped.

Re: Units That could Be Gone

I play zerg a lot and my most unused unit was the devourer. Unless you had an army of them, they were useless. Guardian is much better than the devourer is.

Units that need to stay (my favorites):
    zergling
    hydralisk
    defiler

the correct way to use devourers is to mass em in groups of 5 or more then have the mutas sweep through to do the damage

Re: Units That could Be Gone

Yeah. But I tihnk the unit devourer needs to go. The concept of the spores, though, is friggin awesome. Kind of like a secondary ensnare. Maybe it could be some kind of spell? Every few seconds, the effect grows until nine spores grow on the victim? That'd be awesome.

I think the hydralisk should go. It may be "Iconic," but the dragoon and firebat have been reshaped into another form. I think the Hydralisk should do that somehow. The Marine, Zealot, and the Zergling represent each race I think. They're the counterparts of each other. They each show what their race is capable of and their races' advantages. I think that's why they're staying in the game. Everything, I think, should go. Except maybe things like siege tank. That's just too hard. =D
