Unit names

Sorry about the long post, but all of the first few thoughts and arguments just seemed to be all over the place, with a whole lot of false information in between. I followed the structure of the person who first posted so it was easier to follow. But you're right, I didn't realise that there were that many pages of discussion. I did go back and read the other pages after, and everyone has made some good points. I just don't like people who sit there and just complain about anything they can, not realising that a lot of thought and work is put into it.

Every names are great, except the Tempest ! That reminds me a hero in X-Men. I want Blizzard to delete this unit and replace it by the classic carrier.

 

At BlizzCon the Tempests had been changed to Carriers. I imagine this is still the case, but...

So by now, the Carrier has wings and a tail, I hope this doesn't bother you.

 

i dont know bout the rest of you guys but id rather have the protoss fleet, all gold and there color the silver just doesnt look good in the air.

 

Well, Blizzard is adding silver units to highlight the fact that the Dark Templar are now contributing technology to the Protoss war machine.

 

So for you the Tempest is a dark templar unit ? Because it is in silver like the stalker. So what about the carrier ? where is it if the tempest replaces it ?

 

The Tempest does not exist. It did exist, but Blizzard replaced it with the Carrier. All they did was change the color and change the Shurikens to Interceptors, but it is the Carrier. The Tempest no longer replaces the Carrier. The new Dark Templar air unit is the Warp Ray: note that it was gold before, and now it is silver.
Blizzard is actually allowed to just switch these things around at random, strange but true.

yes,the warp ray how it was(golden) was much better

i don't have so many issues with unit names,but i think Nomad and Cobra are just silly...

Sorry, but the Warp Ray is still golden. Where did you see the WR will be blue and then the Carrier will come back ?

The Carrier comes back ! Good ! Why should Blizzard change the WR into a dark templar unit ?

It was in a Karune q&a during blizzcon IIRC. People at blizzcon were playing with carriers not tempests.
