Aw c'mon Meee. They need to bring back zombies.

Vampires are meh nowadays, and ghosts are getting boring.

I prefer more psychological fare in my horror. Not physical monsters, but the monsters of our minds. Look at all the greatest classic horror films. They weren't zombies (NotLD excluded), they weren't ghosts.

Look at Hitchcock's The Birds. It's a bunch of birds. Woop de do. But if you walked down the street the day after it opened, half the people would be jumping that pigeon flapping over there.

It's no coincidence that pool and beach attendance was almost half the week Jaws came out. Yes, even pool. It took literally 8 months to go back to normal.

Bring back from where exactly? Were they even ever gone in the first place?

I hear they're turning World War Z into a movie. I'd totally see it.

Well no, but there hasn't been a zombie movie that's interested me as of late.

Didn't like it, sorry. The directing/approach of that film was just too eck.. for me.
I know it's based off a book so the story is fine, it's the director who I have a problem with.

Besdies, the vampires from 30 days of Night > Any other vampire I've seen so far.

    duplicate topic and thus merge'd
anyway, i liked the books. yah, it wasn't the best but i found it a nice read. probably because i haven't read anything ever remotely good in awhile. Regardless, it's not awful (unless maybe you're a guy) as a romance novel if you look at it from that perspective. but overall it's nothing to be so excited about. It's way over toned and yeah, twilight fans are scary. every girl from here to norway has read the things. i agree with ximni, too. way overdone. Just for that i feel the desire to make a book about werewolves. because srsly, too many vamps.

Twilight was really, not very good literature, all it did was focus on all the aspects that would attract a very strong target audience of teenage 13 year old girls and then milk stareotypes of gothic, and love, to draw them in to find meaning.

It was an abuse of a insecure target audience to the means of making money, nothing more! :D

not young girls, more of what willy said. it's base is teenage girls. It appeals to them, trust me, i know. when you can't walk so much as a foot without drowning in obsessing fans gurgling over edward or howling on about jake. It's obnoxious, really
