Twilight Archon now has lame appearance.

And its still refered to as twighlight archon on the Blizzard site. Where does it say they changed the name?

 

The Blizzard site? Pfff, that site has had Khala-styled Warp Rays for ages...

Jon said that the name was changed after visiting their HQ.

 

i hope that archon should have at least 1 of these to be called new better archon.

1) deal +20 splash damage to a target(25+20= 45) and nearby enemy(20 only)

or

2) has feedback ability. (with current 25 lame damage)



Some said Archons still the best ground unit even against ultralisk

but look. now ultralisk has 600 hp and has splash damage.

in sc1 it has 400 hp w/ no splash and archon in sc1 barely wins

then how come archon in sc2 wins against ultralisk? it doesnt make any sense at all. archon in sc2 has same stat and deals less damage (25) than one in sc1.


PS: i like the name, twilight archon better unless they gonna add Dark archon again.

 

I miss the look of them being in a cloud of dust.

however I do like their appearance of being an electrical storm. I don't know how well that fits DT though.

 

So where can i find the new archon at?

 

Lemme see... Well, The new Ultralisk is more expensive. 300/200 is what I heard (in SC1 200/200).
The problem for the Ultra is that it wastes a lot of money into things not aiding it vs. an Archon. Burrow won't make much of a difference vs. another melee unit. But the Ultra has Burrow, and that is balanced through a higher cost (making them fewer in numbers than Archons). And how will splash help vs. the few and large Archons?

The new Archon looks the same, it's just a different name.

 

Well in that case i think the archons fine. Exept i dont like that it walks. In sc1 it seemed to float around.

 

yea when i first saw him in sc1 i thought he could fly.

 

the first time I played starcraft when a crazy blue guy that could blow my zerglings to hell came hovering over what I thought was a lake I couldn't do anything. However when my brother came back down stairs to find I was playing his game and losing his fast expand to 1 unit he took over and saved it .

 

The first encounter with archins i faced was an army of them created by my, so called, ally who had just betrayed so i was wiped out by 12 archons and 12 dark archons before i knew i was being decimated

 

What ? 600 HP ?? The Thor just has 300 hp if I don't say anything wrong.

BTW about the Archons I want to unit to stay entirely blue like the original one.

 

I'm sure they'll make the energy blue and the armor give away player colour.
