Not directly in the mineral area, place them in the places where the enemy has to go in order to jump over

There will be many ways to get into ones base.. So I don't think all can be defended this way.

Well if your base is in the corner of the map you're at less risk too.

If you look at a map like Lost Temple, it is pretty easy (many cliffs)

    Re: Too much worker harsser

All i know is an awsome strategy would be to get 2 ghosts get one to use the snipe ability in on side of the base and take out all the workers (if possible) then when they are done with him have the other ghost land 3 drop pods and kaboom one hell of a mess. Not a win though but I guess you could send a few other units in after that to make it more devastating and turn it into a win. Maybe vikings and reapers fly in? :)

But if your zerg an easy way to defend against all these are burrowed lurkers. If your terran a bunker in ur mineral field and the planetary fortress(by the way does it count as a detector?) and your set. Then if your protoss just use photons and keep units nearby. Its all part of the game and harrassing in normal sc was just as easy as it is now. The new units just make it smoother.

see, we can't put all those unit there because if will cost a lot of $$$ + your front are badly defended if you put more units on offense.

And will you guys upgrade Defense cannon or the COM SAT upgrade on the first command center

You don't need all, those were examples of what would work and how it isn't a problem to cover your minerals.

    Re: Too much worker harsser

yes you need all those protection, for example in a T vs P game, the terran player only bunker then the protoss player will just send colossus in the place of stalker.

Plus, if the key to win is based on how you defend your workers then then Terran have a big advantage and the Zerg a lot less

    Re: Too much worker harsser

Well an easy way to defend against a stalker would be a bunker and turrets seeing as how turrets are able to kill stalkers now.

plus you can't say that the zerg of alot less you don't know their units of defenses yet.

Scouting cost micro, except you are good at looking at the mini map :p and a brown player on dirt terrain is almost invisible on the mini map ;D

Harrasment is micro intensive too, if you dont play against computers...
And as Terran you have scanners, those are really micro intensive right???
And as protoss you have observers
    Zerg has overlords

Seems like mike wants the game to play it's self? Listen. It's called skill, and when you play the game you will obtain it, high level or not.
We have given you ways to defend agains't units that could get the workers so why do you continue to push your point when we have enlightened you?

Then your playing the wrong game (try C&C 3). Starcraft is about macro, yes, but it is about the micro just as much. And it's the micro, the worker killing, where games are made and broken in Starcraft. That's why it's fun for alot of the people who play it.

Actually Starcraft is all micro. You're objectives (the macro) are given: kill your enemy or be killed. If you watch pro starcraft (search youtube) with players like Slayers_Boxer and Bishu, the reason they are so good is because they can handle they units with extreme precision (dodging attacks, blocking raps with Matrixed scv's, etc.) In Starcraft2, it seems all the more micro with abilities like blink, and walking up cliffs, and all the new techniques they have implemented.
