Hah i was gonna buy from cyperpower. Their low priced gaming computers can "only" be compared to ibuypower ^^. imma get one for $1273 (+40). and its godly awesome :p

and guys stop hating on hayden lol he's sad ^^

btw i think hayden is referring to starcraftwire.net's article: $150 for full starcraft 2?
    so yea :p

  2. Last I heard it was something like: 1 year standard parts and labor (full coverage) and 3 year limited warranty (some things are covered, you pay for certain things to be fixed) and lifetime tech support via telephone and online. So, you get both a warranty and a product service team.

You'll have to check the website itself though. This could have changed.

But, regardless, you can pay for additional warranty coverage.

As far as shipping, I don't know.

-- Nope. I checked. You get three year standard warranty. The warranty I was talking about was from the cheaper PCs built exlusively for NewEgg.com

Where to buy a pc in canada

Hayden, most PC enthusiast in Canada buy their PC custom assembled at NCIX.com
To play Starcraft 2 at MAX settings you will be fine with:
    Core 2 Duo E8600
    ATI Radeon 4850
    ASUS P5Q-PRO
    Muskin Redline RAM
    RAZER Deathadder mouse

All of this is not overly expensive. I Have these parts plus the best 7200RPM drive, TV tuner, coolmaster Cosmos case, and a 47" 1080P LCD tv (over HDMI) for less than $1700.
Remember to price match your cart items with shopbot.ca (to cut like 1/2 the price off your purchase). Also select PC assembly and they will build it for you. This is a very good company with fast shipping, and reputable customer support. It's also in BC so less taxes for Ontario residents. I have built several PC's with them including all my own gaming systems. Let me know if you need more information.

    Regards,
    Chris

  4. Good post. Do that if iBUYPOWER or CyberPC doesn't ship to Canada.

um, why would i care, if it was 100 years older then me i wouldn't care, well if the graphics were in black and white then i'm not sure i would play it, but thats beside the point.

  10. I'm just saying that usually gamers your age want the highest in graphics. All I meant was that I'm impressed by you :D Plus, I get a strange feeling when I'm playing a game that is as old as me or older. Probably just me though.

    what were you saying

  14. That it's cool that you're not like your fellow classmates (If you will... ) in that they''ll only play the games with the latest and greatest graphics.

Well that may actually be due to the fact that i don't really look for new games the most i've got new would probaly F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin and thats only the Demo.

@Tychus : I can second that. There is an odd feeling of.... 'almost-nostalgia' (?) that comes with playing a game as old or older than I am. Except the games that are older than I am are pretty much commodore 64 and atari 2600 games. But there is still a strange satisfaction there.

@hayden351: if your playing F.E.A.R on your system you'll be fine with sc2. Blizzard always attempts to appeal to a pretty large demographic. SC2 will be no exception I'm sure. So I wouldn't be too worried about that. I would like to think that they wont be foolish enough to run into the same issues that Epic ran into with UT3. That is alienating a huge portion of their fan-base by releasing a game that won't play on the systems most UT players are running.

on an off note; does anyone else think we should sticky the trilogy stuff? Its a question that goes into debate in almost every thread i see. Not to mention the unique threads created to ask this question. Could we just sticky a discussion regarding everyone's opinion on the trilogy and pricing, along with the new units and adjustments for multiplayer etc?
