The three races

Terran power.

 

Each of the race will have their kinda super-weapon,it will look like it but it wont be a super-weapon cause those
units will just be strongest(in 1v1 thing) not necessary,u will need them but u may win without them as well.

 

Too bad a new race won't work

It would have been cool if someone with blizzard had the creativity and originality to create another race, either the Xel' Naga or some other race that was caught in the middle of the fight between the zerg and protoss like the terran was. a new race would have been cool if done correctly but what race would be so different from the other races but yet equally balanced .
Difficult question to answer.

 

The problem (which Dustin Browder talked about a lot in an interview before) is that the three original races would have to suffer if a fourth one was made. Imagine if they gave a unit with the same mechanics as the Colossus to the fourth race (walk over cliffs, air target). That would make the fourth race seem a little cooler, but it would at the same time leave the Protoss with less innovative and new stuff. With "only" three races they don't have to settle with second hand units to fill all the spots, instead almost everything can be top notch.

 

Starwars, Halo

Thats all true

I wish blizzard could buy the rights to Starwars or Bungie then they could use the Empire, or the Covenant, I think that would be amazing, Forget the storyline I could care less any way.

 

The Empire are Terrans with more lasers, and the Covenant are Protoss who have traded psionic capability for four-sectioned mouths. :dull:

 

But the Empire is probably much more powerful. The covenant are just cool they would probably fit in fine with the starcraft Universe.

But serious side: Crossover games would be BAMF. Cough cough Smash Bros.

 

No this is different if you made a decent rts game were starcraft races fought like the empire, covenant, you name it, people would play.

 

Cross over games would actually almost be impossible unless all of a sudden we find out that the Xel Naga, The Force(Both dark and light), and the Forerunners are all the same. Yeah, try convincing three developers to do that and then I would still not consider the idea.

Also on a side note the only reason brawl works is because
1. It is main characters of stories not races.
2. They are all Nintendo owned Characters.
3. Its in another genre completely.

 

A good crossover game for Blizzard only characters would be a racing one.

Because a fighter would slap Smash Bros. in the face. They have a huge RPG going already and are going to be releasing another one. Blizzard's already huge in RTSes.

 

The storyline DOES NOT HAVE TO MATCH UP

This game should be created like years from now when know has anymore original ideas for any of the games.

Come to think of it, I'd hate to see what George Lucas would do to tamper with the Starcraft Universe

I agree with everyone - I think they'll all be equal. Of course, me being a Protoss player...i'd have to say Protoss.

 

Another problem with the terrans that helps keep them weak is they cant stop killing each other

Plus most, if not all, of humanity's leaders would downright refuse each other's help or reinforcements.

 

In starcraft 1 the terran are the bads, with all that conspiracy. Well like the real world
