The Overlord; Would anyone change it?

what about the war between the broods? i think it was called the brood wars.
Also, when Zasz died the other cerebrates killed all of his minions because they were running rampant killing anything around including other zerg.

 

Hey what was the burst fire thing for? I thought that was to prevent it jamming and allow it to cool? I lost the book, so...I can't read up on the upgrade/units anymore. Or was it purely for ammo conservation? And anyways, why would anyone want a carbine rifle when you can have an M249 SAW? Those kick ass

 

Being able to plant an overlord in creep would be BOSS cool, as well as evolving them into a defensive unit once planted. Having the little squids floating all over the place gave me the creeps anyway.

Squad weapons like the M249 are used to lay down cover fire, they don't need to be tactical. Basic military infantry work on textbook squad maneuvers.

You wouldn't kick down the door and swing your M249 around, but you also wouldn't use tactical weapons like SMGs for cover fire in any outdoor situation.

 

Yes, this is why everyone doesn't carry one around.

no its a good school, run by Master Joseph E. Kim, and part of the W.T.F.(i laugh everytime i see that) his stepdad was Myung Hwan Kim. he runs the North American Challenge most years in november.

M249 is standard issue in the US Army. One out of every so many people are assigned one.

 

I only have around 100 posts and I'm already creating shenanigans.

i can honestly say i have never made that anology.

 

They should not change the overlord because it gives the zerg a uniqueness/distinction from other races. Instead of having a structure to give supply like Terran or Protoss, the Zerg have a unit to do it, this is very unique.

As well, we know that having a unit with a fairly high HP that can act as a transport and a detector at the same time is very useful. Plus any zerg player would have several overlords flying around all over the base, so it covers the base with detectors which is useful at avoiding nukes.

Besides, it's always fun to cheat and have unlimited minerals, then produce MASSIVE amounts of overlords, there's virtually no unit limit for overlords as long as a player can have the minerals. I had lots of fun using show me the money and cover the entire map with overlords

 

Do you even think overlords will be transports this time around? Seems like the nydus worms are taking over that role.
