    Ace: At BlizzCon, everyone started with 6 workers. It was never mentioned by anyone anywhere else, it just... was. It might have been to make the games go faster, but it might be something they intend to have in the actual game. I want to find out which it is.

    Can the Thor be transported via Dropship, or does it need to be transported in a different way, if at all?

    Guys, just as a general appeal, I need a LOT more questions than this. Try to think of random game mechanics questions to ask rather than the run of the mill "is Thor transportable" (no offense) because these are easy questions that I will think of instantly.

    The more in-depth questions that might actually require them to stop and think would be awesome.

    In the starcraft's new destructable universe if a tree falls over in the woods and no players around to hear it, does it make a noise?

    How will "stray" projectiles be remedied? Will missiles have an increased homing ability which would allow them to go far beyond their range and draw sharp curves while following the (especially fast) target or will homing be capped to a minimum and forget about aesthetics (like Vulture grenades, which were very slow and thus often hit units that were no longer where they were when the grenade was shot)?

    Meh I couldn't word it better but you get the point.

    When a unit recieves fire upon standing on a elvated terrian level, will there still be that little system where the projectile could miss?
    If a tree if in the way of the projectile and units will it make some of the projectiles 'miss'?

    Will tricks with units such as the SCV still be possible; due to the way Terrans build, the SCV would move around the unfinished structure meaning if built next to a cliff or something, if you cancle at the right time you could end up on top of the cliff.

    If I used Overload while my Phoenix were stacked would some of the projectiles be blocked by the other Phoenix?

    Basically my main question would be, is there different ways to exploit (passivly) different scripts in the ways we could in Sc1. I think a lot of things like that made the game interesting as it allowed you to add another dimension to the gameplay by thinking outside the box.

    Er... projectiles were never ever blocked by units be it enemy or friendly... why would they be blocked in SC2?

    with the templars force field ability, can you like trap a unit inside one of those?

    It has been mentioned that there will be a new race in the single player campaign. Would you expect that it is "theoretically possible" that the definite and inevitable expansion pack could possibly feature a fourth playable race (Xel'Naga for example)?

    Has their or wil their be any attempt to create a custom variant of the game that would essentially play like Starcraft Original/Broodwar, only with the updated engine?

    How different are the armor and damage types when compared to the originals?

    Will gold mineral patches be featured on most maps?

    Will the Beta be a fully open opportunity, or will it be closed to the few that are selected for it?

    From the development standpoint, how far into the beta phase is Starcraft 2 (if it is in beta!).

    Is it feasible for users to create a feature rich version of the game in custom editor that would allow Hero-Creep mechanics similar to WC3?

    Will there be deep filter features for game hosts and other players? (Ability for example to only see blizzard made maps, or to filter out all money maps).

    Will the interface for Battle.net 2 blow us away? (any hints about it)

    Is the learning/skill curve for advancing in Starcraft 2 more difficult, easier or comparable to the original?

    Will there be a very compelling status reward for ranking up (beyond just icons)?

    What have been the greatest challenges in developing Starcraft 2 (ie catering to the expectations of rabid fans)?

    Do you expect to have the final and official release date announced by/during the Blizzard event in Paris in June?

    How far along is the development, polish and balance of the single player campaigns, respective to a final release?

    I heard in the SC2 forums in a Karune post that they were/entering into developer beta, which is different then a public beta. Its very possible that the public beta will be released before June. Based on how polished the game is looking, a release later this year isn't unlikely. Also if the Zerg are put together well enough to reveal them publically, then their is a good chance that the game is further along into beta then we might assume. Public betas of Blizzard RTS games always are considerably different then their retail release, so if a final release date is announced in June, alot of it would be hinged on player feedback during an intensive public beta release. There is only so much Blizzard can do internally. I would expect the public beta to be released by April/May, presuming that it is indeed almost ready.

    Yeah If we say the "official" beta is June, then 2x (blizzard standard, 2 times as good, 2 times as long) normal 3 months beta times gives : 6 months, which is at christmas!

    furrer, I am guessing you have never played a BLizzard game in beta. Normally when the public beta is released, it is updated frequently, which each update/patch potentially altering major unit attributes, and I do mean MAJOR! So should the public beta be released the form SC2 would be in, would not be perfect, however it would be updated alot and it would become better and better. Watching an exceptional Blizzard RTS game change and grow right in your own computer is a wonderful experience. The sooner the beta is released the better. The retail version will be far more refined however! ;D

    Blizzard has released a Protoss gameplay demo and a Terran gameplay demo on the Starcraft II website as high-quality videos. Are they going to release a similar, high-quality video of the single-player demo shown at BlizzCon?
