The New Firebat

I find it interesting that, compared to most other stuff, the Firebat has almost no noticeable team coloration. It's just red all over.

 

Ya that is kinda strange, but hey, I'm sure a finalized version will have more team coloration.

 

now that I'm able to see it, I like it XD. since it is being built from the factory I'm guessing it's gonna be more powerful? I like how it's a little bigger than the marine, I always felt it should.

 

As someone said earlier, or me, zealots have colored psi blades, fire bats could have white flames. Lol. The flames in that picture are orangey....ish.

 

firebats looks like ants. i say combine reaper and firebat... if two are included im sure one of them will be pretty much useless. so make a new weapon for the reaper, maybe shokwave fire buster thingy. here i go again. reapers with pistols? firebat + reaper = new reaper weapon. xp

 

zeratul, you are the only one who wants a new reaper weapon.
and i dont see why the firebat would be useless if the reaper is in play and vice versa

 

I'm sure i can see some orange spots on the arms of the firebats, shoulders, feets and at the gas tanks.

anyway i like the new firebat look alot and i think they will be really handy to repel all melee attacks and especially zergling rushes, and somewhere i heard a rumor about that firebats attack is not just one but several small damaging attacks now, if that's the case they will be really effective against immortals if they manage to get close to them

 

I think he firebat looks very cool, kinda mech-like, so I would be very happy if it was built in the factory. I especially like the way the hands look.

 

They look like they are dual wielding brute shots that shoot fire lol.

 

For some reason, they remind me of those goliath-like human machines (Armored Personnel Units) from Matrix Revolutions. Well, they're cool.

I'm acctually really looking foward to useing the new, beefed up Firebats. The last ones were cool, but border line useless. These look like a whole new breed though, it'll be fun.

 

After looking at them for a while, i can honestly say i'm not too fond of them. Ok to start off the model looks kind of dumb. It looks very similar to the viking in ground mode, and i hate that. Also, the way it has its arms out is also kind of awkward. Well, that's just my opinion.

 

How else would you fire Arm-mounted flame throwers? :S

 

And how is it even remotely similar to the Viking?

 

just make it a robot. give the firebat a cockpit. yes make it a complete mech since terran are looking more mechs and robots now and i like them that way. =p

*see the new marine mech like power suit... and the marine are even just the lowest tech among the terran military arsenal. so im expecting bigger and more powerful high tech mech like thors. maybe another one, the firebat mech.

 

I tihnk it looks great, but different from what I thought they looked like. Thought I saw them differently in another screenshot.

I hope their attack is different/more effective against buildings or large units.
