the ultralisk has always been something that we terran and protoss players feared, in swarms anyway. The new look fits them perfectly, but i dont think zerg units should be under them. It would cause problems.

They were underused in the first game, its true, but I think they have fixed that. Karune says that their satisfying to use, so...we trust Karune, right?

We will know if Ultras are any good soon enough.

ULTRALISK ANOTHER MEARTSHEILD OR A NEW BEING

;D The ultralisk has always been known as the ultimate meat sheild of starcraft one. The only uses for it were to take the focus off of other units and maybe... MAYBE break the enemies defences. Otherwise the ultralisk has been a useless creation. In watching the videos of the ultralisk... IT OWNS !!! It took the enemy out quickly and easily and seemes to walk right through the enemy. Im not sure if their is anything new or a higher damage, but the ultraisk is making a comeback. from meatshield to meatgrinder.

I don't think that they will remove the ulra just because it is so loved now and also it seems to pack a even bigger punch.

They look very big, but the one thing that worries me is that they may be TOO big. I'm not sure what the next zerg transport unit will be, but it would suck if it could only hold 1. A main advanted with the SC1 Ultra was it's usefullness for drops because you could store in 2 at atime.

    Looks deadly though :D.

Nydus Worm takes care of the size limit.

Maybe the new Ultralisk shouldn't be transportable at all? They are very strong, so maybe it's good to compensate that with less mobility. You would need to build a Hatchery on an enemy's island when playing an island map to use them in your assaults. That would also be a great way to balance them some more. I'm saying this because they seem a little bit too powerful at the moment, mainly because of the added Burrow ability.

Also, they just look to big to be transported in a normal way. The Protoss have the advanced Phase Prism to "store" their huge Colossi in, but the current Ultralisk (they are huge) just seems to be to heavy to be transported by a normal transport, like an Overlord and the Nydus Worm is just to small for them to pass trough. I mean, they are bigger then the mouths of those things.

Yes, it can. You should have noticed that in the zerg video(s).

    @ LordVampire
Please, please search a bit around the forums before asking. We have a stickied topic with all of the available information about the Zerg at the board you just posted in. You can find it here.

Forum members are putting a lot of work into listing all of this, so please use those lists in the future, ok? ;)
By the way, as Gasmaskguy said, it can burrow. (He posted it while I was still typing.)

I know the Nydus Worm can take in 12 units, but is it twelve regardless of size?
Also, will the Nydus Worm be the zerg's only transporter? It seems kind of cheap that protoss and terran get airborn transports, both more mobile and able to get across islands.
