The texture looks like one of thoes odd RPG games. and whats with the *Turmor* *Turmor* thing on the left side of the pic.
This picture was from WWI 08, and the Creep has changed texture since then (if you've seen the new screenshots... which made the Creep look furry). SC2 GUI indicates finished units/upgrades/research/structures instead of just the sound, so you can read it off. -Psi
That's actually the left side where it says tumor, and it's probably saying that a creep tumor has been constructed. ===== It's nice to see creep can go down ramps now, I always hated running into a ramp, then my only expansion option waqs to spend a wad of cash on a hatchery, not very fun.
That is easier now, since you don't have to waste 300 minerals or so just because of a ramp. btw, what are creep tumors and what do they loook like?
Here Seriais. http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Creep_tumor Most stuff on Starcraft Wikia is up to date. Maybe the model is outdated, but the facts are pretty accurate.
WIERD! Yet at the same time cool. I think the creep so far is good, but i still think anyone who is not zerg should slowly start sinking, or slowly become imobile.
There has been talk of that in other threads and most people agree that it would be unfair to the Terran and Protoss.
Creep gives all Zerg ground units a passive speed boost in the current build, so it has already been implemented, basically. ( Although in the shape of a bonus and not a penalty, which I find pleasing)
Ahh. Doesn't that give the zerg an unfair advantage when it comes to ground units? I think it would be a good idea to have the creep heal any injured zerg units on the ground. Slowly though, like one life every few seconds so it doesn't turn the tables.
I think a speed bonus is better than a regeneration bonus. Think about it: Regen = More hp. More hp = Longer battles. Speed bonus = Slaughter. SC (2) = Quick battles. A regen bonus would only serve to lengthen games if anything, which is slightly bad. A speed bonus is more interesting and makes the Zerg scarier.
And? Just because it's in another game doesn't mean it doesn't have a place in this one. Oh, in WarCraft, units are trained at a Barracks. Looks like we have to change the name. They use the same voice actors, looks like we need to hire a new cast. No. I've been thinking a bit about it lately, what with the Overlord ability to spew Creep. Considering the fact that it's a physical sign of the Zerg infestation, why not use it offensively? I don't mean drop some Creep and build a Sunken, I mean as an actual battle ability. Use it on a Protoss or Terran building, causing that building to slowly be damaged, and/or produce slower. Use it on an enemy unit to cause them to move and attack a bit slower. Obviously, when used on a building, it would stay until removed by a worker unit, whereas when used upon a unit it would count as a spellcast, and wear off over time.
Meat factory. I like the offensive creep ideas, kind of like an expansion of the slime minerals ability (which for some reason runs a lot smoother with me with it being creep rather than random slime).
I agree with that. I think, if creep is used on a building, it should start dissolving it, thus damaging it, same with units. Though I don't think the creep should wear of over time It's not a frick'n spell! Unless another unit takes it off, it stays on!
lolz ~Meat Factory~ (but that sounds more like a zerg building than a terran building) anyway the creep idea is kool, why not just make it the default attack for the overlords think about it. overlord is slow right?! so with no where to turn why not it use an ability like the ability lock down that the terran ghost has and spits creep at it alowing other units to come in for the kill or even just to have an escape window. and hey it could be somthing that could only be used like every 30sec's or something and covers a 3x3 matrix. (thinking again i think that could be a little anbalenced. but hey why not just make it an upgrade that you can't get until you have a hive or somthing. or maybe that could be an upgrade that you can get once you get the the hive.) Edit: (thinking again why not make it an upgrade at the hatchery like the burrowing upgrade is. so it would be somthing that would help until you get to the upgrade's at the lair for speed.)
I agree the fact that the creep should stay, but that would be kinda cheap due to mining harassing because you would have to move them and spend enough time trying to chase the overlord away and then the enemy could waste you because you weren't paying attention to your defences. and it shouldn't work on shielded protoss buildings or units because well, its a SHIELD.
It could damage the shield though.. bot nut much.. How about a "Harvest Upgrade" (Harvest ore faster)?
